Accounts Receivable Clerk

And right now, we are looking for an Accounts Receivable Clerk to ensure financial transactions carried out by the business are accounted for accurately and are posted to the systems in accordance with agreed timescales and with the relevant approvals. 

You will ensure that daily bank and system uploads are completed successfully, post transactions from source data and clean reconciliations of accounts and ledgers, generate, print and dispatch cheques, ensure overnight batches complete, and process payment runs and manage any currency requirements with Treasury. 

Additionally, you will adhere to FCA guidelines in relation to the handling of client monies and customer refunds and ensure all company policies & procedures are followed and upheld at every level.

Role Responsibility

  • Daily reporting and funds transfer/reclaim for Amlin insurance and travel Trust account 

  • Intercompany invoices and charges and arranging month end agreement between entities 

  • Responding to agent/insurer/colleague queries within agreed SLAs 

  • Raising system defects where appropriate 

  • Posting flight costs to system from Billing Settlement Plan 

  • Support for insurance system discount maintenance and permissions 

  • Processing and defending chargebacks and indemnities 

  • Reporting and management information within agreed deadlines 

  • Reconciliation of credit card and direct debit values with system data 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Dream Unit 4.  

  • Word and Excel. 

  • Accounts receivable experience. 

  • GSCEs Maths and English. 

  • An eye for detail and able to work to a deadline. 

  • Studying towards AAT an advantage.
