As our Affiliate Sales Manager, you will be a key part of the commercial team in our burgeoning Media division. You will be the principal owner of our key affiliate marketing partnerships for both our website Exceptional.com, and our market leading newsletter which reaches over 500,000 readers every week. You will be responsible for building relationships with key partners, driving monetisation via affiliate, display and sponsorship activity and optimise performance through yield negotiation and optimisation of on-site activity.

Your role will be key in accelerating the growth of our online channels, developing and executing a comprehensive media sales strategy primarily focussed on the affiliate marketing channel, but also including 1st party and programmatic display, newsletter sponsorship, video and social activations.
In line with our group purpose, you will deliver exceptional experiences every day for our clients and audiences through best-in-class management and delivery of commercial activity.
** Remote/home working ** Saga work a hybrid approach requiring some team days in our London office. You will need to be within a reasonable commuting distance to London to undertake this role. Travel for office days when required are fully expensed.
Role Responsibility
Joining us as the Affiliate Sales Manager – Saga Media, you will be accountable for the following;
- Work closely with the CRO – Chief Revenue Officer and Commercial & Trading Director to develop our go-to-market strategy with a particular focus on affiliate channels.
- Establish and maintain key relationships via direct partnerships and/or affiliate networks.
- Identify and deliver new revenue growth in-line with targeted expectations.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Editorial, Product and Data teams to ensure the highest standards of execution and service to our clients and partners.
- Analyse internal and external data to identify areas for growth and improved digital performance partnerships products and services.
- Provide regular reports and insight to the CRO and Commercial Director on internal and external performance drivers and market trends.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for an exceptional Affiliate Sales Manager. This is the start of our growth journey in this exciting market. If you are keen to join a team with big ambitious plans, then our expert commercial media team will be the right place for you. You will have already worked as a successful Sales Manager in the affiliate / partner channel and can demonstrate the following skills and experience;
- Demonstrate an advanced understanding of content monetisation from a publishing environment.
- Be an expert in monetising commerce content via affiliate / partnership channels.
- Have a strong commercial acumen. A natural ability to quickly establish key relationships and deliver recurring revenue streams across various consumer channels.
- Be data savvy – able to provide actionable insight to internal and external stakeholders.
- Have great people and negotiation skills.
- Be super organised with excellent time management skills.
- Able to understand the needs of our audiences and balance these against our commercial targets and can produce compelling sales pitches.
- Willingness to travel occasionally to our offices.
- Knowledge of SEO best practices. (desirable)
