And right now, we have an existing opportunity for an Azure Administrator to join our Saga Travel Group Technology Team. You will be responsible for supporting and maintaining the cloud IT infrastructure that supports the business. You will do this by delivering outstanding service and providing technical ownership for challenges across the technology estate.

Role Responsibility

  • Supplying enterprise business support across the cloud technology estate to both internal technology teams and to the business unit community.   

  • Monitoring, automation and performance tuning of cloud resources and associated applications.   

  • Administration of the core enterprise shared services system maintenance procedures, this will include raising and taking ownership of processes such as change requests, problem management, root cause analysis, fault identification and resolution.   

  • Responsibility for ensuring Saga Travel Group security policies is met, and services are securely configured in line with best practices, alongside the proactive management of Azure Secure Score.  

  • Performance and Cost optimisation of Azure builds of Azure Virtual Desktops, VMs, reserved instances, application pools, AGW, Firewalls.    

  • Supporting the technology operations management team in developing and delivering innovative technology initiatives. 

  • Work closely with the information security team to implement changes that improve the security of the supported applications.  

  • Monitoring applications and taking proactive actions to prevent impact to the business.  

  • Support the technology operations team to develop and deliver innovative technology initiatives to the business.  

The Ideal Candidate

  • Azure Administration – minimum AZ-104 certified. AZ-140 or AZ-700 will be an advantage. 

  • Experience working in a cloud infrastructure related role within a corporate environment.   

Top Skills, you will have demonstrable experience in most of the following:  

  • Deploy and Manage Azure compute resources including Azure Resource Manager templates, Virtual Machine extensions, Azure Disk Encryption, Virtual Machine Sizes, High Availability and Scale Sets.  

  • Create and Configure Azure Storage Accounts, Generate Shared Access Signature (SAS) tokens, manage Access Keys and configure Network Access to storage accounts.  

  • Manage and Configure RADIUS, Certificate-based, OpenVPN and Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) Authentication.  

  • Configure Azure role, Custom roles permissions for Management Groups, Subscriptions, Resource Groups, and Resources.  

  • Create and Manage Internal & External Azure Identities including Azure AD Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Conditional Access Policies, and Azure AD identity Protection. 

  • Create and Configure Enterprise App Registration, Integrate Single-On (SSO) and Identity Providers for authentication.  

  • Create and customize alert rules, configure diagnostic logging, log retention, and monitor security logs by using Azure Monitor.  

  • Create and configure Azure Recovery Services Vault, Backup Vault, and Azure Virtual Machine backup policies.  

  • Perform Backup and restore operations by using Azure backup and site-to-site recovery by using Azure Site Recovery.
