…And right now, we are looking for a Business Assurance Coordinator to work in our CHMC side of the business at an exciting time in Saga’s history. As a Group, Saga is taking to the seas in our brand new, luxury cruise ships, leading the market with innovative insurance and financial products. 

You will be responsible for providing administrative and technical support to the Business Assurance function; who supply First Line of Defence (1LOD) Risk Management Services and Business Assurance support, encompassing Risk, Audit, Quality Assurance and Continuous Improvement; supporting the wider objectives of the team specifically in relation to the Annual Audit Programme.

Role Responsibility

As a Business Assurance Coordinator your top 5 responsibilities will be: 

  • Supporting Claims Auditors during audit completion, whist liaising with key departments and suppliers to collate requests. 
  • Monitoring Audit and Review outputs, liaising with Business Assurance Auditors and Suppliers to ensure closure of external and internal actions in line with the agreed timescales.  
  • Acting as a liaison and facilitator of all internal and external audit requests, including obtaining and distributing annual plans.   
  • Processing business requirements and ’Customer Rights’ requests in line with General Data Protection Regulation and acting as a contact for Data Protection matters, ensuring escalation and reporting in line with Group policies.  
  • Providing general administrative support to all functional areas and colleagues within Business Assurance.

  • Highly organised, methodical, and ability to juggle a multitude of tasks and deadlines, whilst working under pressure. 
  • Excellent communication skills, verbal and written across all business levels. 
  • Positive disposition, proactive with a solution-centric approach. 
  • High work ethic and drive, with ability to self-manage. 
  • Flexible, personable, and able to embrace change. 
  • Maintains complete discretion, confidentiality, and professionalism. 
  • Must be able to work to a high degree of accuracy, producing work to a high standard 
  • Enquiring and tenacious mind. 
  • Naturally supportive. 
  • A good standard of secondary education is necessary. 
  • An understanding of the CHMC Audit process and objectives, including the Audit methodology. 
  • Sound knowledge of the Claims business, key personnel, main processes, products, systems, and policies. 
  • Administration experience, with demonstrable Microsoft Office skills. 
  • Experience in writing accurate, clear, and concise reports and summaries.
