And right now, we are looking for a Business Process Analyst for up to 9 months on a Fixed Term contract to cover Maternity at an exciting time in Saga’s history. As a Group, Saga is taking to the seas in our brand new, luxury cruise ships and leading the market with innovative insurance and financial products.  You will be responsible supporting and having guidance throughout the change life cycle by translating ideas into potential business process solutions as well as creating and identifying enterprise-wide optimal business process solutions in conjunction with the Change Owner and relevant Technical Leads.

Role Responsibility

  • Business process engineering with efficiency and lean disciplines for enterprise-wide change across the whole change lifecycle 

  • Translate business objectives and requirements into functional and system specifications

  • Feed into the business cases where appropriate when suggesting potential solutions, along with their impacts and benefits 

  • Validating relevant developed change has reached the designated Acceptance Criteria and is ready for Change Owner sign off or identifying any areas of concern that may not have been considered through the User Story lifecycle 

  • Provide Project Management support if necessary, to manage and track projects, managing project progress and adapt planning and prioritisation where required. Assist with planning, dependencies, risk management and communication

  • Leading the transition of projects into business as usual 

  • Identify and establish corrective action plans for business top priorities that will ensure a swift, effective delivery of change and benefits 

  • Facilitating effective workshops and meetings by asking the right questions to draw out requirements, options, and potential solution

  • Being business solution focused, evaluating multiple options before helping the business to settle on a solution, recommending ways to tackle a task where relevant

  • Analysis of data solution to identify system and operational process gaps, pro-actively raising these to the relevant department and support in the creation of their change requests

  • Staying up to date with the latest business best practices and technological developments that can help to streamline processes to help the business perform more efficiently

  • Maintaining and enhancing key relationships with the Change area, Development Teams, Change Partners and Change Teams 

  • Gaining an extensive knowledge of systems, operations, and people across the business 

  • Ensuring swift progress across multiple concurrent projects though organisation and time management skills, whilst being able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and workloads

  • Demonstrating and maintaining a logical approach to problem solving 

  • Being able to work under my own initiative with a brief understanding of the task required, working out a plan of who to speak to and the best way to gather the required information

  • Supporting Project Managers, Business Analysts and development teams within Change where additional analysis is required

  • Continually learning and sharing lessons with my peer group 

  • Effectively manage stakeholder expectations around scope and delivery 

  • Liaising with other departments, representing the Change Management Team 

  • Building strong relationships with all levels of personnel both internal and external in order to complete tasks

  • Ensuring actions, risks, issues, and decisions are logged against appropriate change items in accordance with the best practice requirements of Change Management
