A great opportunity has arisen for a Business Reporting Lead to join the Saga Services business.

You will provided technical leadership within a delivery team which is responsible for delivering Business Management Information,as well as having day to day management at a technical level for your allocated work stream.

Role Responsibility

  • Provide the team with technical leadership
  • Bridge the gap between product architecture and the detailed design
  • Ensures technical integrity of the product working with the team
  • Ensures technical quality and standards are met within the team
  • Full understanding of the teams work through each sprint
  • Full understanding of requirement across all teams
  • Point of escalation for developers
  • Overarching coordination of development activity to ensure functional elements are delivered
  • Setting and measuring objectives within the team
  • Liaison with and advise to the business and Head of Finance decisions and prioritisation of activity
  • Act as Scrum Master as required
  • Facilitate workshops in an effective way
  • Ensuring best practice is followed
  • Coordinating best practice with other technical and data teams across the business
  • Working closely with IT Operations
  • Support with PL/SQL developments and business reporting developments and maintenance as part of the Services change programme

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Proven technical background
  • Experienced in Agile methodology including Agile programme tools
  • Experienced developer background
  • PL/SQL development capability essential
  • Preferred understanding of Guidewire

Education and Qualifications:

  • Good educational background to a degree level

  • Excellent communication required to manage the technical performance in the team and ensure dependencies with other teams are effectively managed
  • Flexible approach to work, confident and approachable
  • Self-Motivated
  • Able to cope under pressure
