Data Analyst - Fraud Investigation

And right now we are looking for a Data Analyst - Fraud Investigation to ensure that effective controls are in place to protect the business from application fraud as well as assessing emerging threats.
It's an exciting time to join as we move away from traditional investigation models, to driving fraud investigation forward, through data analytics and new fraud investigation tools. You will be responsible for the identification and analysis of data which will be used to drive these diverse fraud strategies forward. You should be adept at working with high volumes of data, and able to utilise your skills to discover patterns and trends which will form meaningful insights for the application fraud team.
Role Responsibility
Monitoring application fraud alerts and take necessary action to protect customers.
Delivering information from fraud data and providing insights to fraud management and strategy teams.
Creating and delivering key metrics that support decision-making processes within fraud.
Be responsible for ensuring appropriate governance, conduct and control risk frameworks are embedded in all relevant activities
Reviewing alerts from external sources and ensure that appropriate actions are taken to mitigate fraud
Investigating fraud including organised fraud rings
Providing support to the operational and business units regarding all fraudulent matters.
Assisting with the optimisation and automation of fraud reporting and contributing to the preparation and delivery of reports in a timely manner.
The Ideal Candidate
Prior working experience with data analytics (necessary)
Prior knowledge of insurance fraud prevention tools (desirable)
Skilled in the use of SQL and/or Snowflake (necessary)
Skilled in the use of Tableau and/or other data visualisation tools (necessary)
Understanding of insurance pricing tools such as Radar (desirable)
Ability to build and interpret dashboards and reports with data visualisation tools
Presenting confidently to technical experts.
Demonstrate excellent knowledge and aptitude in data analysis
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with a demonstrated ability to work independently, ruthlessly prioritise, and manage a high-volume of tasks, deadlines, requirements, and decisions whilst driving exceptional customer outcomes.
Strong analytical skills to be able to identify fraud risks
