Data Planner

The Data Planner role sits within the CRM team as part of the Insurance and Personal Finance division. The division is going through an exciting transformational programme, with CRM being a key pillar to support transformational growth, and this role plays a key function in its success.
As a Data Planner, you will work closely with Data Science teams (Analysts and Modellers), to define and build the data insight needed to support all CRM activity. You will need to fully understand all campaigns and delivery targets to request accurate insight and be able to present this to teams in a clear and understandable format, to enable both the CRM team and marketers to make data led decision making.
You will be continuously evaluating and monitoring campaign performance and customer data to identify trends and correlations, and proactively suggest opportunities to evolve campaigns based on testing strategies, performance indicators and audience insight to ensure we are getting the most out of our databases at every opportunity. You will also work closely with the Digital Performance Manager to monitor and enhance our campaign attribution.
This role will also work closely with the Data Governance function to ensure the quality assurance of imported data. You will need to understand database management, the relationship between data assets and its impact on the business and you will play an active role in database optimisation strategies.
As the business embarks on a data transformation strategy, this is an excellent opportunity for this role to be at the forefront of the opportunities that present themselves as we move towards a Single Customer View and enhanced automation capabilities.
You should be able to demonstrate the ability to analyse, model and interpret data, be an excellent communicator and a methodical and logical approach. You should be comfortable using Tableau or other data visualisation software.
The role reports to the Head of CRM
Role Responsibility
- Collaborate with Data Science teams to own suite of data Insight to support all CRM activity
- Present data analysis reports to wider Marketing teams in a clear and understandable format
- Continuously monitor and evaluate campaign performance and customer data to identify trends and correlations
- Proactively suggest ways to improve segmentation or targeting based on your findings
- Develop our campaign attribution strategy
- Manage quality assurance of data, logging issues and working closely with Data governance teams for quick resolution
- Have active involvement in data transformation strategies such as Single Customer View project and enhance automation

- Ability to effectively convey and produce graphical and visual representations of data trends in a compelling way
- Able to disseminate complex data
- Excellent communication skills to liaise effectively with teams to ensure organisational goals are met
- Effective collaboration skills, working with multiple teams and stakeholder to drive projects towards a combined goal
- Curious nature, wanting to continuously improve knowledge and suggest ways to improve
- Proactive, self starter. Someone who can confidently suggest new ideas and approaches, with the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively across functions
- Strong levels of multi-tasking, prioritisation, and solution-orientated approaches
- Well organised and detail oriented
- Ambitious personality who is open to helping with any task
- Ability to work under pressure and deadlines
Qualifications and Education
- Strong statistics, maths, or other related subjects such as economics or data science
- Experience using Tableau or other data visualisation software
