This role is an important part of the Customer Data team who strive to facilitate, to help and support the Marketing function of our business.

You will be proficient in SQL and data modelling and will have an excellent understanding of direct marketing.

Role Responsibility

  • To produce propensity models with a view to refining our mailing selections or adding new prospects to increase profitability.
  • To create and interpret relevant analyses to inform the company’s business decisions with particular focus on the effectiveness of our marketing activity and cost-efficiency.
  • Produce MI summarising analysis findings and report on marketing effectiveness.
  • Assist in implementing a Group customer communication and contact strategy. This will include the continued testing/development of our campaign optimisation implementation, along with other development.
  • To produce and develop our “allocation-curve” forecasting model. This will include a review of current procedures and measurements with a view to improving the accuracy, stability and reliability of our year-end, weekly and daily sales predictions.
  • Identification of efficient opportunities to enhance the marketing effort.
  • Expanding technical skills.
  • To contribute to the customer data team’s general activity as and when required.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of programming in SQL
  • Excellent knowledge and understanding of direct marketing.
  • Highly skilled in an analytical role.
  • Highly skilled in project management.
  • Degree Calibre
  • Proficient in SQL and data modelling
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Pro-active, entrepreneurial and focused on business objectives.
  • Highly numerate.
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office.
  • Highly skilled in SQL programming and working with relational databases.
  • Highly skilled in statistical modelling.
  • Able to work under pressure to tight deadlines.
  • Able to work simultaneously on many projects.
  • Able to represent the customer data department at internal and external meetings.
  • Able to train others to Database Analyst L1 or L2 standard.
