An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Social Media & Content Executive to join our Saga Healthcare team based in Redhill, Surrey.

Our digital channels have been key in the growth and success of the Saga Healthcare brands, and this role will be vital in enhancing the quality of all our digital communications as well as further establishing our brand presence.

Content is a key part of our digital strategy and producing highly engaging content is essential in delivering our ambitious growth targets.

You will be maintaining our online presence on external review and social sites, help to deliver initiatives, such as our award submissions, satisfaction surveys and client newsletters, as well as generating, editing and sharing engaging and regular content for use on our website’s and social platforms. This will all help to increase website traffic and conversions.

You will have strong communication skills, both verbally and written, and will need to be pro-active, highly organised, able to work to deadlines and have excellent attention to detail.

Role Responsibility

Social media & Content:

  • Manage our social media presence – create and implement a content plan across social media platforms, such as Facebook.
  • Build and execute social media strategy through competitive research, platform determination, benchmarking, messaging and audience identification
  • Generate, edit, publish and share regular content (original text, images, video or HTML) that builds meaningful connections and encourages community members to take action
  • Set up and optimize company pages within each platform to increase the visibility of company’s social content
  • Moderate and respond to all user-generated content in line with the moderation policy for each community
  • Create editorial calendars and syndication schedules
  • Collaborate with other departments (customer relations, sales, etc) to manage reputation, identify key players and coordinate actions
  • Create content to support brand communications across email, website, blog and any other format that may be required. Plan and write copy in such a way as to appeal to target audience.

Online Review Management:

  • Manage the review process – soliciting reviews and responding to comments.
  • Manage our review presence across online platforms, such as Google, Facebook, Trustpilot, Homecare.co.uk, NHS Choices
  • Solicit reviews utilising the relationship between Customer Services and our client/carer audiences
  • Provide feedback, via relevant business leads, to reviewer comments
  • Provide insight to management into the concerns and issues highlighted in these reviews

Customer referral “refer a friend”:

  • Manage our customer referral process – promoting, tracking and rewarding client/carer referrals across our agency, Homecare and SOS businesses.
  • Help create and deploy engaging “refer a friend” literature, to deliver increases in new referrals
  • Track responses and incentivise referrer in line with the rewards programme and track effectiveness

Website support:

  • Support the website management required to ensure Saga Healthcare’s online presence is complete, consistent, accurate, up to date and always ‘on brand’
  • Manage this content as it extends across social platforms

Marketing support:

  • Use positive reviews and social commentary, plus other relevant sources, to submit award entries in the Healthcare and Care industry awards
  • Support the marketing team in delivering quarterly/half-yearly satisfaction surveys, utilising responses to deliver reviews and positive web commentary
  • Assist the marketing team in the development of content for the client newsletters

The Ideal Candidate

  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of ‘on the job’ training and experience
  • Excellent written and communication skills
  • Demonstrable social networking experience and social analytics tools knowledge
  • A good knowledge of online reviews and online marketing channels
  • Positive attitude, detail and customer oriented with good multitasking and organisational ability
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Commitment to ‘test and learn’ philosophy
  • Determination
  • High levels of literacy
  • Excellent sub editing skills
  • An urge to accuracy
  • Previous experience in a similar role an advantage
