An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Digital Designer (Email) – Maternity Cover up to 12 months to join our Saga Marketing team based in Enbrook, Folkestone.

You will be joining a team that is responsible for producing emails, landing pages and other digital assets for all divisions of Saga. You will collaborate with other designers, marketers and content producers to improve existing email designs and develop new campaigns.  Your designs will incorporate UX principles and best practice in digital and email design.

You will bring experience of using Adobe Campaigns and email broadcast platforms.

Role Responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Developing existing email creatives and producing new designs and templates in conjunction with digital designers and content producers.
  • Coding, bug checking and testing emails.
  • Loading designs into the email broadcast platform and resolving any technical issues with the both the email and its delivery.
  • Working with marketers, designers and content producers on ideas for email designs that improve the customer journey and drive conversions.
  • Looking at email results to find areas that require improvement.
  • Rolling out successful design elements and techniques to other emails for other products in the Saga brand.
  • Actively taking part in meetings and projects that help to develop Saga’s email marketing and digital practices.

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • An understanding of email deliverability.
  • Experience using Adobe Campaign.
  • Experience using email broadcast platforms.
  • Skills in Javascript and JQuery.
  • Experience of using data to make design decisions and optimise your designs (eg, A/B testing and analysis).

Education and Qualifications:

  • A degree or qualification in a discipline related to digital design OR experience in a digital design role OR an aptitude for designing websites/emails which can be demonstrated by an extensive portfolio of work

Personal Characteristics:

  • Enthusiastic and keen to develop their skills and knowledge
  • Passionate about design and all things digital
  • Adaptable - we’re about to embark on a lot of changes and while it will be an exciting and challenging time, we need someone who will grow with the team
