The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced PPC Specialist to join our marketing team based in the Bolton head office. You will have responsibility for growing and defining our PPC programme.

It’s a huge project with national market exposure, and the successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, hands on and eager to take on a big challenge. You’ll need a strong analytical and commercial mindset, experience working with large data sets and an eye for detail.

Role Responsibility

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage PPC campaigns across search engine partners
  • Management of large Google Ads budgets
  • Write ad copy to obtain both a high click through rate and high conversion rate
  • Ad copy testing and optimisation
  • Create effective, campaign relevant ad extensions with high CTR
  • Keyword research
  • Constant conversion rate optimisation
  • Develop and refine new and existing audience segmentation
  • Monitor and improve impression share and average position
  • Monitor and improve CPC
  • Monitor and review competitor offerings and make recommendations
  • Create highly engaging GDN ads using BannerSnack [training can be provided]
  • Be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly reporting
  • Work with the wider digital team to develop cross-channel strategy

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience

Essential

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in a PPC/Google Ads position
  • Proven experience of creating and implementing PPC and display marketing campaigns
  • Experience of using Google Ads, Google Analytics and Bing Ads
  • Experience of using/working within Google AdWords Editor
  • Advanced MS Excel user
  • Strong technical understanding of measurement and tracking with a proven analytical background

  • Experience of using Google Tag Manager
  • Experience of using Meta-search/Travelsupermarket
  • Google AdWords Fundamental Certification
  • Google AdWords Advanced Search Certification
  • Google AdWords Advanced Display Certification
  • Bing Ads Accredited Professional Certification
  • Google Analytics IQ Certification
  • Google Data Studio user
  • Advanced Word and PowerPoint user
  • Travel industry experience/knowledge is a bonus
