Digital Marketing Manager

Job Introduction

We have an exciting opportunity for a Digital Marketing Manager to join our marketing team based in the Bolton head office. You will have responsibility for managing a large paid media budget, managing a team of executives and external agencies.

It’s a huge project with national market exposure, and the successful candidate will need to be self-motivated, hands on and eager to take on a big challenge. You’ll need a strong analytical and commercial mindset, experience working with large data sets and an eye for detail.

The recruitment process is a three stage process involving a first stage written task/exercise and then a two stage interview process, as follows:

  1. If your application is shortlisted you will be asked to undertake a written task/exercise to be provided to us for review.
  2. If your written task/interview is successful you will be asked to attend an interview.
  3. If you are successful at the interview you will be asked to attend a final stage interview
  4. Initial interviews will be held on either 25th March or 26th March 2020

Role Responsibility

  • Strategizing and delivering all online (social, search and display) media management
  • Managing a team of digital marketing executives to deliver our inhouse PPC strategy.
  • Working with a Digital Consultant to continue to roll out our SEO strategy.
  • Managing agency relationships; this includes day to day relationship management
  • Management and forecasting of large Google Ads budgets
  • Develop & manage new paid social strategy
  • Plan & Implement brand awareness campaigns across Google Display Network, Instagram, Facebook & YouTube advertising from planning all the way through to implementation
  • Testing campaigns to improve conversion levels including the implementation of a testing programme across all digital channels reallocating campaign spend as appropriate
  • Reporting and analysis of all paid media campaigns
  • Ongoing reporting and review of activity to ensure our cost of acquisition is reduced as per the agreed KPIs
  • Look for new acquisition channels and opportunities
  • Manage a team of digital marketing executives and monitor their progress conducting regular 1-to-1s and team meetings.
  • Monitor and review competitor offerings and make recommendations
  • Be responsible for daily, weekly and monthly reporting
  • Work with the wider marketing team to develop cross-channel strategy

The Ideal Candidate

 

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

Essential

  • Have 5-7+ years of media management experience
  • Have 3-7+ years of managing digital marketing executives
  • Experience in a digital acquisition role with hands on experience in PPC management, integrated multi-channel acquisition strategies and campaigns within a B2C environment.
  • Excellent analytical skills, including experience of conducting data analysis using Google Analytics and Data Studio
  • Extensive use of digital platforms such as Google Ads, Facebook Business Manager, Google My Business etc…
  • Strong understanding of key digital performance metrics (impressions, CTR, CPC, CPA, conversion, etc.).
  • Have managed end to end campaigns
  • Have managed multiple agencies, or have worked agency side
  • Will be both strategic and hands on
  • Advanced MS Excel user
  • Strong technical understanding of measurement and tracking with an analytical mindset

  • Google Data Studio user
  • Google AdWords Fundamental Certification
  • Google AdWords Advanced Search Certification
  • Google AdWords Advanced Display Certification
  • Bing Ads Accredited Professional Certification
  • Google Analytics IQ Certification
  • Advanced Word and PowerPoint user
  • Travel industry experience/knowledge is a bonus
