Saga is expanding their digital team! We need a Digital Optimisation Designer who will work closely with the Digital Analytics & Optimisation Lead and Digital Content Editor across our main website. You will be the key subject matter expert to providing specialist optimisation design and development solutions based on skills, experience and operating within best practice guidelines.
You’ll be part of a unified Enterprise Digital Experience Hub, that services and leads the business in delivering intuitive, accessible, and consistent digital experiences.
You will need to understand our business requirements and the unique requirements of Saga’s customers.
Working as the Digital Optimisation Designer/Developer, you will translate requirements into live tests and experience modifications, guiding users through online journeys across multiple touchpoints. (Using Adobe Target)
In this role you will be working with stakeholders to help inform product development, iterate tests in accordance with user behaviour insight and work with the analytics team to report results and observations back to the business
** Remote/home working ** Saga work a hybrid approach requiring some team days in our King Cross - London office or Ashford – Kent office. The Digital team tend to meet up about twice a month. You will need to be within a reasonable commuting distance to travel to one of our Hubs to undertake this role.
Role Responsibility
This is a Digital Designer role working in-house for a large consumer facing organisation across travel, insurance and personal finance. As the digital team grows it is essential to have this digital design and optimisation skill set within the team. Your key areas of responsibilities will be to;
- Make recommendations for the optimisation and personalisation strategy on the website.
- Manage and execute the implementation of Adobe Target experiences across Saga’s site, including but not limited to coding using HTML and Javascript, as well as testing and QA on each build.
- Work with stakeholders within the team and around the business to define hypotheses and briefs.
- Provide digital support, knowledge and expertise to stakeholders across the business.
- Become the champion of A/B, MVT testing and personalisation across the business.
- Design re-targeting campaigns, presenting the right content at the right time to the right customer.
- Define and prioritise implementations.
- Perform analysis on customer segments to identify opportunities for personalisation solutions and testing.
- Work closely with the digital analysis team to understand performance and set KPI’s.
- Develop a deep understanding of our customers using analytics tools and making recommendations as a result.
- Support the Digital Product Managers with product roadmaps.

The Ideal Candidate
We require an exceptional Digital Designer who has experience of a large matrix organisation in a B2C environment. You will need to demonstrate the following skills and knowledge;
- Experience of user-centred design and user testing.
- A deep understanding of digital channels and their application for varying marketing and engagement goals
- Has the ability to communicate to large groups of people of varying skill levels with the ability to convert and translate complex data into digestible insight.
- Experience in CMS management is desirable but not essential. (Adobe Campaign)
- Experience of developing and improving processes and delivering change.
- Experience demonstrating and understanding of analysis, targeting, optimisation, personalisation and KPI measurement (ideally from a large B2C companies)
- Strong experience using on site personalisation tools, expert user of Adobe Target.
- Advanced skills in A/B, MVT Testing and Personalisation.
- Advanced skills in HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Experience working with web analytics tools and data. (Preferably Adobe Analytics)
Desirable:
- Adobe certifications in Adobe Target
