An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our team as Explore Ashore Manager. You will be key to providing exceptional experiences everyday for our guests onboard delivering a personalized and welcoming service.
Responsible for ensuring the most memorable experiences are delivered to all guests you will be responsible for building relationships with vendors, promoting excursions, and managing the Explore Ashore Assistants.
Role Responsibility
- Maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Direct overall shore-side operation and guests shore-side experience.
- Manage the daily Explore Ashore office operation and roles and schedules of the Explore Ashore staff.
- Identify revenue opportunities & manage sales.
- Ensure accuracy of all guest related literature.
- Manage communications with Ground Operators / Agents.
- Oversea excursion operations, private arrangements and all independent requests.
- Oversea the Escort operation & training.
- Oversea relationship with the destination lecturers and related speakers.
- Manage guest service and expectation levels.
- Monitor guest experience & strive to exceed expectations.
- Oversea interdepartmental communications & collaboration.
- Manage continuous training & development of the Explore Ashore team.
- Attend social events as required and on a frequent basis.
- Conduct safety inspections of Explore Ashore equipment & services.
- Carry out shipboard safety role, as per onboard crew muster duties.
- Manage the compilation of all reports and the submission of these.
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience managing a Shore Excursion program.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Passionate about people and able to handle guest complaints with a smile.
- Holding STCW certification required for this position
- Good Command of the English Language
