An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Building Services Facilities Assistant to join our Saga Group facilities department.

You will be liaising with contractors, coordinating, scheduling and recording all aspects of Building Services within the Property Department at Saga.

You will bring good interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills with a customer focused approach.

Role Responsibility

You will be assisting in the day to day running of the busy Maintenance Department within the Property Team. This will include, but not solely be:

  • Financial tasks including invoices, budget spending control and tracking spend against budget
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance schedules
  • Liaising with contractors requesting quotes
  • Reports
  • RAMS
  • Service Visit Reports
  • Issuing and subsequent administration of FM Facts help desk system
  • General administrative support to Maintenance Team

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Good interpersonal skills and verbal/written communication skills with a customer focused approach to communicate effectively with internal & external customers and Team members
  • Excellent PC skills including, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Power Point and various computer-based applications
  • Communication skills using all social media portals
  • An understanding of all aspects of Commercial Building Maintenance
  • Previous Facilities Management experience would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of Permit to Work Control and a strong understanding of Health & Safety
  • Good organisational skills
  • Ability to work on own initiative

Education and Qualifications:

  • Good standard of education
