And right now, we are looking for a Finance Analyst to join the Insurance Commercial Finance team. Working closely with the Saga Insurance business, you will provide support and guidance to assist with decision making, including detailed analysis of trends and business case modelling. You will also be responsible for ensuring our forecasting and reporting systems and processes are well maintained to ensure successful delivery of the forecasting cycles.
You will also drive system development, implementation and change to deliver process improvement with enhanced MI, and provide support to the Finance Business Partner on all matters as required.

Role Responsibilities are, but not limited to:
Provide appropriate challenges and support to the product and marketing teams to deliver forecasts and projections which are challenging yet achievable.
Continuous design and improvement of existing financial planning processes to satisfy business requirements and support commercial decision making.
Monthly forecasting and modelling for the current financial year, full-yearly budget, longer term planning and providing variance analysis and commentary for presenting to our directors.
Continue to drive commercial report improvements to drive efficiency and enhanced presentation of data to support the business.
- Trading performance analysis and trend projections, presenting to the Business on a weekly basis and provision of the weekly trading management information pack.
The Ideal Candidate
Highly numerate, with strong financial and business acumen.
ACA, ACCA or CIMA – this role is ideally suited to individuals who have completed or are near to completing their finance qualification.
Analytically strong with a willingness to question and challenge and interrogate, facilitating the ability to identify anomalies or inconsistencies and pursue these through to a resolution.
Ability to multi-task and must be exceptionally well organised; attention to detail; high level of accuracy; ability to meet established deadlines; ability to work under pressure; ability to work proactively.
Ability to write and understand SQL code preferred but not essential as training can be provided.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a range of colleagues at varying levels.
Able to quickly establish credibility, winning the respect and co-operation of colleagues.
- Demonstrable experience of preparing forecasts and budgets, as well as long-term planning
