…And right now, we are looking for a Finance Business Partner who will be reporting to and deputising for the Finance Director. The role is ideally suited to an experienced qualified accountant, with previous commercial and finance business partnering at a senior level.
This role will be responsible for leading commercial conversations with the business teams and will play a pivotal role in both Media & Money using commercial acumen to drive delivery of the strategies & to engage with the business to drive growth.
Role Responsibility
- Deputise for the Finance Director when needed.
- Finance Business Partner to all business areas.
- Provide insight, challenge, and business overall for Media & Money, supporting the FD in decision making and business support.
- Drive design and develop revenue models for Media to ensure focus on key KPI’s and economic value.
- Work with the business to develop KPI’s to track business growth performance for Money and develop LTV models to a high standard.
- Steer business units to act for the best results for Media & Money.
- Lead scenario models for longer term forecasting and planning and ensure 12 month rolling forecasts are readily available for both Media and Money businesses.
- Provide appropriate challenge and support to the business teams in order to deliver forecasts and financial plans which are challenging yet achievable and identify & manage the risks and opportunities within the forecasts and plans.
- Play a key role in constructing the planning and budgeting cycle, working closely with the wider Finance teams to ensure the process is as smooth as possible
- Mentor and develop other team members, providing strong leadership and motivation within the team and the wider Finance community.
- Support the Finance Director in upskilling the remainder of the team, both in terms of tangible knowledge and softer skills (i.e., continuous improvement and stakeholder management)
- Provide adhoc support as required

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
- Line management experience advantageous but coaching and mentoring skills are a must
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, managing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
- Able to build and maintain excellent working relationships, with both finance and non-finance colleagues
- Able to challenge processes and assumptions, with a mindset for continuous improvement
- Exceptional IT skills, particularly within both MS Excel and PowerPoint
- Experience of working within a regulated entity would be advantageous
Education and Qualifications:
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified with demonstrated reporting and commercial experience
Personal Characteristics:
- Strong individual with excellent leadership qualities and an approachable, engaging enthusiasm
- Extreme attention to detail, with the ability to review (both themselves and peers) and feedback accordingly
- Able to quickly establish credibility, winning the respect and co-operation of colleagues at all levels
- Able to prioritise effectively to deliver against multiple internal and external deadlines
- Have a passion for process efficiency, and establishing a culture of continuous improvement and challenging the status quo
- Strong, articulate, written and oral communication skills, with the ability to deliver information concisely, and at the appropriate level for the audience
- Proactive individual who can take initiative and direct the team accordingly
- Naturally analytical, with the ability to troubleshoot problems quickly
