This role is an important part of the Finance team who strive to facilitate, to help and support the Group function of the business.

This role sits in the Central Finance Systems team, supporting the administration, maintenance, support and development of the Finance systems across the Group. In this role you'll be assisting with version upgrades and development of existing systems, as well as the investigation, planning and implementation of new systems across the finance department.

You will have a particular focus on the deployment and development of TM1 across the finance department to reduce manual process and improve efficiency and business insight. You will also analyse business requirements, turning them into design specifications and develop and maintain a TM1 change programme across the Finance department.

Role Responsibility

  • Working with the business and Finance teams to understand requirements and propose suitable TM1 design specification
  • Implementing designed TM1 solutions, including completing comprehensive testing, and adequate training & documentation of solution
  • Assist in version upgrades and roll outs of the Finance systems, including TM1
  • Managing implementation of change / new systems from end to end, including full design approval stage, development, testing and PIR process
  • Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement, seeking opportunities to contribute original ideas to the benefit of the team and organisation

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge, skills & experience:

  • Technical Competence: the role will involve heavy use of IT and the ideal candidate will already be an advanced user of SQL, VBA and TM1 – hands on knowledge of TM1 Administration, TIs, Rules and MDX queries required
  • Attention to detail: Excellent attention to detail is a must as is the ability to understand existing processes
  • Communication: The role involves working with the Finance team and other departments to translate business requirements into design so good communication is key
  • Customer Focus: Acts proactively to improve customer service
  • Innovation: Thinks laterally to identify new or untried solutions leading to business benefits
  • Problem Solving: Identifies relevant information and evaluates the issues to make sound decisions
  • Response to Change: Open to new ideas, instigates change and willing to speak out and make recommendations
  • Enthusiasm for personal development and learning – the desire to extend personal skill sets through continuous self-assessment
  • Proven experience of project management and systems implementation

General Qualifications

  • Good standard of secondary education
  • Educated to degree level in a technical subject would be an advantage
