A great opportunity has arisen for a Fraud Investigator to join the Saga Group business.
You will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of Saga's fraud systems and controls, investigating fraud or suspected fraud incident, as well as being responsible for the identification and investigation of fraudulent and suspected fraudulent activity.

Role Responsibility
- Responsible for running & analysing business reports to highlight fraud
- Investigation of fraud and or suspected fraud, liaising with appropriate stakeholders
- Use of established investigations and search tools together with newer Internet based tools
- Police File Liaison, assisting with the preparation of evidence for court along with helping to put together written statements
- Working with industry fraud bodies (e.g. Insurance Fraud Bureau)
- Collating information on fraudulent activity, and updating departmental and company records in relation to fraud savings
- Acting as a referral point for others in the Group who need support and decisions on matters that have suspicious aspects to them; and lending support to colleagues who need assistance with such cases
- Assisting with the training and familiarization of all staff across the business on fraud matters
- Working with any external suppliers of fraud solutions and services, external bodies including the police and other public and private services
- Act as a liaison point for Saga partners fraud teams (e.g. the Insurance Panel)
- Looking at intelligence highlighted by FraudNet or similar fraud detection tools to detect and prevent fraud
- Compliant with the standards laid out by various regulatory bodies including the FCA
- To action appraisal points from monthly/quarterly reviews and achieve personal objectives and targets
- Provide Management Information monthly summaries
- Attend appropriate industry groups to keep abreast of current or prospective regulatory developments and industry best practices and, where necessary, articulate our views
- Customer liaison, including questioning customers to gain the core facts around a case, and supporting FinCrime Administrators during busy periods
The Ideal Candidate
Capability, Knowledge and Experience:
- Experience in dealing with and investigating fraud
- Experience in application fraud
- Business/Market awareness particularly in relation to Fraud
Education and Qualifications:
- Good standard of secondary education
- Willingness to obtain professional qualifications
Personal Characteristics:
- Excellent communication skills, written and listening, across all business levels
- Excellent attention to detail
- Highly computer literate
- Excellent time management skills to enable successful delivery to deadlines and to the required standard
- Has stamina to complete long tasks on tight deadlines

- Ability to act as a point of contact for the business to discuss requirements
