Are you a hands-on problem solver who takes pride in keeping spaces running smoothly and safely? We’re looking for a reliable and practical General Maintenance professional to join our team and help maintain the Saga offices to the highest standard. You’ll be carrying out a wide range of repair, maintenance, and compliance tasks to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for colleagues and visitors.
This role would be ideal for someone with experience maintaining commercial or office buildings who enjoys variety in their day-to-day work. If you’ve got basic plumbing or electrical skills, or you're looking to build on a trade or maintenance background in a supportive, people-focused environment, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

*Your allocated workplace will be Enbrook, Folkestone. You will need to be within commutable distance of this office. Occasional travel to other Saga-owned properties across the South East, for which additional travel expenses will be covered.
Role Responsibility
- Carry out general maintenance tasks across Saga office locations, including repairs and upkeep of fixtures and fittings.
- Complete basic plumbing work such as installing taps, sinks, toilets, and fixing leaks.
- Perform electrical work, including replacing light bulbs, installing small equipment, and completing PAT testing.
- Support general decorating and touch-up tasks, such as painting walls and repairing minor cosmetic damage.
- Ensure all work is carried out in line with relevant Health & Safety regulations and internal standards.
- Work collaboratively on two-person tasks and provide hands-on support to team members as needed.
- Assist with maintenance and support requests across other Saga office locations when required.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, tenants, and contractors, maintaining a professional and helpful approach.
The Ideal Candidate
Skills & Attributes:
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Good organisational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
- Adaptable, flexible, and proactive in approach
- A positive, “can-do” attitude with strong communication skills
Experience & Qualifications:
- Experience in maintaining commercial or office buildings is preferred
- Basic plumbing skills or plumbing qualifications are a strong advantage
- Electrical qualifications are beneficial (e.g., for PAT testing or equipment installation)
- Familiarity with safe working practices and Health & Safety compliance
