With two brand new, purpose-built cruise ship launched, and market leading, innovative insurance and financial products the Saga Group is an extremely exciting place to be as we move toward the Saga 70th anniversary in 2021.  

…And right now, we are looking for a Graphic Designer to join us. In this role, you will produce high quality creative output, at scale, to meet the production requirements of the Travel Marketing team. You will be focused on print productions with some work on digital channels. 

This is an exciting opportunity to support the team in shaping what our tour operation brochures and leaflets look like, make content for our new ocean cruise ships and our up and coming river cruise ship. 

You will have strong print design skills with some digital experience and be used to working to tight deadlines. You will bring knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite software such as InDesign and Photoshop. Travel industry experience would be an advantage.

Role Responsibility

  • Implement Campaign execution efficiently and effectively:  Create artwork for production, working to the visual brief supplied by the Lead Designer, Travel
  • Lay out pages quickly, accurately and to a high standard using agreed templates and CMS (Content Management System)
  • Ensure quality measures are applied to meet the highest standards of accuracy and executional excellence 
  • Work with the Lead Designer to ensure that schedules are followed, deadlines are met, and the required volume of pages is being produced 
  • Work closely with the content team to incorporate any factual amendments into the artwork, taking care to ensure that these are kept at source within the CMS (Content Management System) 
  • Assist the Lead Designer in finding ongoing improvements to the production process and implementing these within the day to day operation of the team 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable art working experience, ideally gained from the travel industry (in-house or agency side) 
  • Able to work well within a busy team environment 
  • Excellent knowledge of on/offline Adobe creative suite software, in particular InDesign and Photoshop. Digital experience would be useful (emails/web banner ads etc) 
  • Strong technical ability 
  • An ability to deliver to a high standard with tight deadlines 
  • Dependable and reliable 
  • Undaunted by modern technologies or techniques 
  • Embraces challenges, regardless of channel 
  • Problem solving and decision-making skills
