An exciting opportunity has arisen for an HR administrator to join our Group HR team in Redhill, Surrey..

You will be working within a busy HR team to provide support with all people related processes.  You’ll be liaising with employees and line managers in a professional manor to a very high standard.

You'll bring excellent communication skills, verbally and written, with a good knowledge and understanding of HR processes.

Role Responsibility

  • Support the HR Business Partner / HR Coordinator with the day-to-day running of a HR function.
  • Provide some first level policy and process advice to line managers with all employee relations issues escalating more complex cases to the HR Business Partner.
  • Support the HRBP in coordinating and communicating recruitment needs to the Recruitment team and keep line managers up to date with progress.
  • Support the on-boarding of new employees into the business.

Support the HR Administration by completing the following tasks as and when required:

  • Issuing probationary letters and contractual change letters for all staff.
  • Ensure new starter and leaver administration is complete and exit interviews are conducted where appropriate.
  • Complete written reference requests on behalf of ex-employees or internal employees.
  • Maintaining spreadsheets on key HR data and ensure the HR system is up to date.
  • Effective and efficient filing system to auditable standards.
  • Assisting the wider HR department with administration tasks and general record keeping.
  • Support the HR team and play a proactive part in the people agenda and HR deliverables.
  • Carry out Project work as and when required.
  • Other duties as and when required to support the general office team.

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Previous experience in a HR administration role is essential
  • Basic understanding of current employment law and HR best practice
  • Fully computer literate in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook

Education and Qualifications:

  • GSCEs and A-levels or equivalent experience

Personal Characteristics:

  • Enthusiastic and proactive HR Professional with a genuine interest in developing HR processes in support of business objectives
  • Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills with ability to build relationships at all levels
  • Capable of handling difficult situations calmly but firmly
  • Ability to be resilient and objective during ambiguity
  • Candidate must be enthusiastic, adaptable, and used to working in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent organisation, administration and communication skills and the ability to use your initiative and prioritise workloads
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and use your own initiative
  • Confidentiality and flexibility are essential with a willingness to support the wider team
