Right now, we are looking for a Head of Learning to join us and create the culture and capability to enable the delivery of our strategy, purpose and values. This key role will work closely with the Senior and Executive Leaderships teams, to design the best solutions and deliver innovative and progressive approaches to learning to build something exciting.

Role Responsibility

  • Delivery of the corporate plan by enabling a culture of learning to enable exceptional experiences for customers and colleagues
  • Discovering the most progressive approaches in the world and bringing these into Saga to create something exceptional
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the People team to develop frameworks and tools that enable the delivery and realisation of a new way of learning and growing in Saga
  • Delivering change by engaging leaders, managers and colleagues in ‘what it takes’ through effective change and programme management 
  • Establish robust SLAs and aligned data analytics to monitor and report on learning performance, and to inform changing priorities if required
  • Delivering across insurance, travel and enabling functions, partnering with leaders, people partners and centre of expertise
  • Lead the design, delivery and evaluation of learning, including leadership development, creating simple, relevant and inspiring learning interventions that embeds our learning culture.
  • Developing leadership interventions that enable our learning culture.
  • Build blended learning solutions consisting of digital and in person solutions that engage and challenge learners.
  • Developing relationships with external networks of leaders and leadership development experts.
  • Partnering with learning providers to accelerate change or compliment the learning offer.

Experience relevant for this job:

  • Excellent stakeholder skills
  • Experience of communicating at C-Level
  • Previous leading role in designing and implementing leadership development programmes
  • Experience of working with third-party providers to deliver engaging, culturally aligned content.
  • Financial services or travel preferred but not essential
