Health and Safety Executive

We are looking for a Health and Safety Executive to join us. In this role, you will focus on the building, operation and development of the Health and Safety capability within Titan focusing on our customers. You will bring a wide range of experience in creating new processes and procedures that create efficiencies and embed new reports, reporting lines, systems and partnership arrangements throughout the business.

Role Responsibility

• Oversee the on-going risk assessment programme - ensuring that supplier assessments are carried out by our appointed partners in a regular and timely manner, and recommendations are implemented
• Ensure the Titan Safety Management Plan is adhered to and implement further plan improvements in conjunction with other stakeholders
• Act as the main point of contact for day-to-day health & safety queries from within the business, taking a proactive approach to resolving issues and setting procedures in place for the future
• Forge excellent working relationships with colleagues in the Product department
• Ensure suppliers meet Modern Slavery requirements
• Create and maintain a process for additional physical assessments to be undertaken by Tour Managers and Titan staff
• Liaise with suppliers to arrange ad-hoc audit visits for external consultants
• Undertake occasional physical inspections of suppliers if required
• Work with suppliers in seeking solutions on any issues raised from the assessment process
• Managing high risk suppliers, escalating to senior management as required to reduce business risk
• Produce regular reports which summarise the status of the supplier portfolio, highlighting risks, issues and supplier development plans
• Create, and maintain all logs, forms, and processes, regularly liaising with external consultants to ensure content is current and up to date
• Preparation and delivery of a monthly Board Report identifying any trends and numbers of incidents being reported
• Preparation and delivery of monthly Product Report including status of current audit recommendations, list of all accommodation currently banned from use, list of all properties that currently have restrictions in place and a list of all outstanding critical issues
• Ensure the Health & Safety function remains on budget
• Ensure assessments are completed for emergency / late changes within tight time scales
• To react immediately to world events in order to ensure client safety and be available to assist in the event of a crisis
• If required, operate the Titan office Health & Safety function in addition to customer health & safety

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience

• Experienced in working with external partners
• Highly organised
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel & Powerpoint
• High level of attention to detail, accustomed to working to deadlines and in a fast-paced business environment
• Previous knowledge of Health & Safety in a Tour Operating environment would be advantageous
