As our Home Commercial Executive, you will work with internal departments and act as the face of Saga to build collaborative and effective relationships with our Home Panel Insurers and third-party suppliers.
You will also contribute to customer complaint resolutions, update regulatory and risk reports, implement commercial developments, and manage our compliance and risk processes to ensure our customers are treated fairly.

Role Responsibility
As our Home Commercial Executive, you will work closely with the Home Panel Manager and Lead to manage Net pricing through Panel Insurer Management.
Your accountabilities will include:
- Analyse data to uncover key drivers which could lead to improved Net rate pricing.
- Assist in the production and issuing of Panel meeting packs including: essential MI; agendas; meeting notes within SLA’s.
- Management of competitor and industry research and analysis, including the maintaining of price competitiveness consistent with the Saga brand through market comparisons and actuarial liaison.
- Work with the Product Development team to manage and develop market-leading insurance products incorporating regulatory principles.
- Supplier relations - management of supplier related issues and delivery of projects.
- Issue essential MI in a timely manner within SLA’s.
- Involvement in all areas of product management & product development.
- Project management, with a particular focus on cross-functional team working.
- Deliver product development and enhancements to business plan, and update regulatory reports.
- Help to manage customer retention, highlighting areas to be improved and delivering process and document changes.
- Delivery of accurate and up to date insurance and product documentation.
- Technical and management input into complaints handling, including intervention where necessary to ensure the fair and effective resolution of customer disputes.
- Work within commercial relationships with suppliers and Conduct Risk to ensure adherence to FCA guidelines.
- Work closely with internal and external departments, including Underwriting, Actuarial, Customer Relations, Marketing, Finance and IOS teams.
- Work with the PR team to push product highlights & benefits into the public eye whenever possible.
The Ideal Candidate
As our Home Commercial Executive, we require you to have general knowledge of the insurance market with a particular focus on home. This would include product development, best practice, and regulatory requirements.
Other skills and experience required include:
- Ability to develop excellent working relationships with Panel Insurers and suppliers.
- Ability to work within a team collaboratively and independently.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to manage and deliver cross-functional projects to tight deadlines.
- Confidence to challenge and improve existing processes.
- Commercially aware and able to develop and implement product initiatives to meet customer needs.
- Ability to analyse, and present market research.
- Good attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills, comfortable with working at a detailed level.
- High levels of drive and enthusiasm – a self-starter.
- Ability to represent the Saga Brand with third parties, either by phone, Teams, or face to face.
