And right now, we are looking for an experiences IT Asset and Configuration professional to take the lead on the design, implementation, governance, and development of the CMDB ( Configuration Management Database). You will be responsible for creating and maintaining all asset, configuration and change management policies, processes, and procedures. 

You will need to have strong experience operating asset, configuration and change management processes using ServiceNow, and experience of using asset discovery tools and other tool integrations.

Role Responsibility

  • Developing and maintaining the asset, configuration and change management policies, processes and procedures. 
  • Design, implementation and maintenance of the CMDB. 
  • Updating and maintaining the asset management records, configuration item data and their relationships within the IT service management system to enable accurate information for IT service management processes, systems maps and reporting. 
  • Contributing to the risk management processes by ensuring critical incidents are logged in the company risk portal, managing activity to resolve these risks and supporting the development of controls to mitigate risks within the Technology Operations team. 
  • Management and control of software and hardware license audits in conjunction with 3rd party support partners. 
  • Supporting team members in their daily activities, identifying training gaps, supporting the resolution of incidents and improving the efficiency and performance of the team. 

The Ideal Candidate

Experience relevant for this job: 

  • Demonstrated experience of working in an asset, configuration and change management role, including the defining, implementing and managing of asset, configuration and change management processes and associated tools. 
  • Recent experience of operating asset, configuration and change management processes using ServiceNow, and experience of using asset discovery tools and other tool integrations. 
  • Knowledge and experience of software asset management and vendor licensing. 
  • Good understanding of ITIL v3 & v4 processes and principles

Operational skills relevant for this job:

  • Able to prioritise the team’s activities to ensure that project and operational tasks are completed on time and meeting the required outcomes. 
  • Be a champion of asset, configuration and change management best practice within the organisation. 
  • Strong communication skills, able to present information to a wide range of stakeholders in various forms. 
  • Able to work methodically under pressure. 
  • Strong analytical skills and good attention to detail. 
  • Good understanding of infrastructure and application design and operation within a corporate environment.
