And right now, we are looking for an Infrastructure Engineer experienced in Azure administration and traditional infrastructure to join our Technology Operations Team. You will be part of a team that supports and maintains not only cloud IT infrastructure, but also private cloud and traditional infrastructure, as such you will be experienced across a broad range of technologies. It’s important your foundational knowledge is strong as you’ll need to adapt depending on the challenge you face.
Reporting into the Lead Infrastructure Technology Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding service and providing technical ownership for challenges across the technology estate.

Role Responsibility
As an Azure Infrastructure Engineer your responsibilities will be:
- Supplying enterprise business support across the public and private cloud technology estate.
- Monitoring, automation and performance tuning of public and private cloud resources and associated applications.
- Administration of the core enterprise shared services system maintenance procedures, this will include raising and taking ownership of processes such as change requests, problem management, root cause analysis, fault identification and resolution.
- Ensuring Saga security policies are met, and services are securely configured in line with best practices, alongside the proactive management of Azure Secure Score.
- Optimising public and private cloud builds, rightsizing for cost and performance where appropriate. For example, resource optimisation such as disk, compute, memory, and reserved instances.
- Supporting the technology operations management team in developing and delivering innovative technology initiatives.
- Performing backup and restore operations by using Azure backup and Azure site-to-site recovery.
- Creating and configuring recovery services vault, backup vault and virtual machine backup policies.
- Forming and customising alert rules, configure diagnostic logging, and log retention and monitor security logs by using azure monitor.
- Creating and configuring enterprise app registration, integrate single-on and identity providers for authentication.
The Ideal Candidate
· Extensive experience with Azure Administration. Minimum of AZ103/4 confirmed pass.
· Strong technical experience with Azure security AZ500, Designing and Implementing Microsoft Azure Networking Solutions AZ700.
· Significant Microsoft Server technology experience.
· Experience of working in a public and private cloud infrastructure related role within a corporate setting, preferably in a regulated environment.
· Broad infrastructure understanding and ideally, Linux, storage systems, VMWare, F5 load balancing technologies and web technologies.
· Experience of deployment and managing compute resources including azure resource manager templates, virtual machine extensions, disk encryption, virtual machine sizes, high availability, and scale sets.
· Hands-on experience of configuration and management of virtual networks, including peering, VNET gateways, private and public IP addresses, user-defined network routes, subnets, private endpoints, firewalls, application gateways and VNET-integrated platform services.
· Practical experience of creating and configuring azure storage accounts, generate shared access signature tokens, manage access keys and configure network access to storage accounts.
· Ability to manage and configure Active Directory, ideally in a multi domain environment.
· Experience of creating and implementing Azure firewall manager policies, secure hub by deploying a firewall inside a virtual wan hub, integrate virtual wan hub with a third-party network virtual appliance.
· Ability to configure roles, custom roles permissions for management groups, subscriptions, resource groups, and resources.
· Prior experience of creating and managing internal & external Azure identities including privileged identity management, conditional access policies, Azure AD identity protection and password-less authentication.
· Excellent communication skills with a strong customer-service focus.
· Resilient, able to work methodically under pressure.
· Ability to multi-task and work across a range of projects and issues with various timelines and priorities.
