A leader in Motor, Home, Travel and Health Insurance; Our Insurance business is the largest part of the Saga Group. It supplies tailored products including the recently launched fixed price insurance product 

…And right now, we are looking for an Insight Analyst to join us. In this role, ensure strategic insight is delivered alongside ad hoc reviews of any unexpected behaviour within the insurance operation. You will also make sure any outputs are statistically significant and support making informed decisions. 

You will have data analysis experience with knowledge of the insurance industry. As well as analysing the data, you will be able to add value by painting a clear picture without the use of jargon. You will bring strong Excel and PowerPoint skills. Experience of Power BI or Tableau would also be an advantage.

Role Responsibility

  • Creating prompt and correct insight to support key stakeholders in decision making 
  • Integrate multiple sources of data in each piece of analysis where right to add value and supply a balanced and complete picture of each subject matter 
  • Performing regular reviews of contact centre performance, and where relevant find reasons for non-achieving service levels to help improve future performance and track accordingly 
  • Work in line with defined insight standards and operating framework, including use of the scientific method, statements of work, delivery plans, sample size calculations and significance testing, to produce credible, actionable insight 
  • Producing case studies on significant pieces of work completed to enable department to show and quantify the value of insight supplied 
  • Support other Group members where right to achieve business goals, including shared operational targets 
  • Interrogate Net Promoter Score and Voice of the Customer data, proving root causes to significant movements or outcomes of targeted customer journeys 
  • Championing speech analytics within the business and supporting users understanding and use of the application 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Data analysis experience including building a story/providing insight  
  • Strong Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) skills  
  • Experience of data visualisation tools (Power BI/ Tableau) would be an advantage   
  • Insurance industry knowledge  
  • Confident to present to a leadership team  
  • Strong planning and organisation skills  
  • Articulate and able to communicate without the use of jargon
