And right now, we are looking for a Insight Analyst to join our Insurance Analytics team. You will contribute to the operation and delivery from a technical area of the insurance business. You will be part of a team and lead the direction of a use case from an advanced analytics/ data analysis perspective. 

You will create prompt and precise insight to support key stakeholders. You will integrate multiple sources of data in each piece of analysis to add value and supply a defined picture for each subject matter. You will partner with different business teams including Operations, Finance and Technical operations to collaborate to provide actionable insights.

You will have advanced knowledge of Excel and SQL and be experienced in the use of data visualisation and reporting software such as Tableau, PowerBI or an equivalent. Your innate sense of curiosity will hold you in good stead for coming up with creative solutions for some of our toughest problems.

Role Responsibility

  • Driving innovation and analysis building a story / providing insight.
  • Develop ad hoc analysis to answer key tactical and strategic business questions.
  • Support Group members where right to achieve business goals, including shared operational targets.
  • Producing case studies on significant pieces of work and quantify the value of insight supplied
  • Utilising Confluence, sharing knowledge among team members and wider entities to create best practice.
  • Identify insight opportunities through partnering with stakeholders, understanding business problems, develop solutions and deliver at precision pace
  • Able to work on multiple projects, management of priorities and workflow including to other internal and external stakeholders.
  • Be an advocate for the Insurance Analytics team across the wider business, working collaboratively to demonstrate how analytical techniques can deliver enhanced business outcomes improvement process, #Curiosity
  • Translate the results of analysis into actionable business recommendations, identifying emerging risks and providing insights and recommendations.
  • Ensuring maintenance of high-quality documentation (data dictionaries, claim processes and data flows) on Confluence to minimise key person dependencies.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Educated to degree level preferably numerical or related discipline.
  • Relevant experience.
  • Experience of working with multiple stakeholders to deliver analytical projects.
  • Advanced user of Excel and SQL/Snowflake for data manipulation.
  • Highly analytical with experience of problem-solving analytics.
  • Experienced in the use of data visualisation and reporting software such as Tableau, PowerBI or an equivalent.
  • Understanding the regulatory environment and the need for data to comply with GDPR.
  • Ideally UK insurance experience.
  • Experienced communicator of technical content.
