If the above sounds like you, we’ve got a fantastic, yet, rare opportunity to join our Internal Communications team, as an Internal Communications and Engagement Manager. This is a key role in the team; a team who strive to facilitate, help and support the People function of the business.

You'll be joining at a really exciting time too, as we look to launch a brand new internal communications platform for our people.

Role Responsibility

  • Creativity to develop, implement and drive impactful communication and engagement plans that contribute to the delivery of the Group-wide strategy that align with our brand and core values
  • Devise and deliver effective internal campaigns to promote high profile launches including the delivery of our new ship Spirit of Adventure and Spirit of the Rhine
  • Create content for a range of internal channels including vlogs, intranet, online newsletters and social media
  • Seek out creative ways to land key messages across the business, which includes awareness campaigns to support Brexit, the apprenticeship scheme, product launches and the introduction of new IT systems and processes
  • Support communications for Titan drivers, and Destination Services with a focus on writing and creating online newsletters for Saga’s remote employees
  • Support the Saga employee health and wellbeing agenda, promoting awareness days, (World Mental Health day, International Women’s Day) creating ideas to ensure maximum impact
  • Measure communications and use this insight to inform plans and channels to be able to demonstrate their effectiveness to stakeholders
  • Support the successful delivery of the employee pulse and annual surveys, working to ensure relevant action plans are put in place and delivered against to drive improvements where necessary
  • Ensure message consistency, alignment and relevant translation across Saga (One Saga)
  • Create and deliver the Saga concessions newsletter to ensure that employees are knowledgeable about the great deals Saga has to offer
  • Support the CSR agenda by creating campaigns and content to help drive change and create content to support this
  • Support the delivery of internal events

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Strong communication, writing, or marketing skills, with at demonstrable experience within a corporate environment
  • Expertise and creativity to develop, implement and drive impactful communication and engagement plans that contribute to the delivery of the Group-wide strategy that align with our brand and core values
  • Experience of planning and delivering internal communications strategies to build a culture of transparency and good communication
  • Creative and able to think of new and innovative ways to communicate and engage with our employees
  • Excellent writing capability, translating complex messages into engaging and informative copy
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple projects with shifting priorities and deadlines
  • Experience of working cross functionally across various areas of a business
  • Experience of looking at best practice in other companies and identifying what might transfer into a Saga environment
  • Ability to effectively measure whether the desired outcomes have been achieved from various initiatives and to use this learning to improve future communication
