As a Lead Business Analyst, you will work within the Change Management team in the Saga Insurance business unit at an exciting period of growth and investment. Working as part of an exciting change team, you will role lead as a Business Analyst on a project, planning the business analysis effort, determining how requirements will be managed, whilst providing structured, documented requirements that provides a framework to support both the business and technical teams to produce systems that accurately meet the business needs.

Role Responsibility

  • Capturing requirements, interpreting and translating business requirements from change owners and subject matters and turning that into acceptance criteria for user stories for use in change delivery through sprint cycles and other change methodologies
  • Provide guidance on when a Business Analyst needs to be assigned to a change and provide estimates for the requirements gathering phase
  • Provide leadership to Business Analysts including requirements strategy and best practice.
  • Creating a centre of excellence for requirements
  • Facilitating effective workshops and meetings by asking the right questions to draw out requirements and solutions.
  • Being business solution focused, evaluating multiple options before helping the business to settle on a solution and recommending ways to tackle a task where relevant.
  • Maintaining and enhancing key relationships with the Change area, Development Teams, Change Partners and Change Teams.
  • Ensuring swift progress across multiple concurrent projects though organisation and time management skills, whilst being able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and workloads.
  • Ensuring actions, risks, issues, and decisions are logged against appropriate change items in accordance with the best practice requirements of Change Management
  • Assist with business case development, including solution modelling where appropriate.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience with processes and/or systems relevant to the Saga Insurance and Claims Group.
  • Insurance and/or Claims experience preferred.
  • Proven experience of process modelling and re-engineering.
  • Experience of Business Analysis/ requirement gathering.
  • Facilitation Skills
  • Stakeholder management.
  • Communication skills
  • Strong planning and presentation skills - with the ability to listen and influence
  • Business Acumen.
  • Service Management
  • Relevant Business Analysis qualifications or willingness to learn.
