And right now, we are looking for a Lead Business Analyst to join the Enterprise Change unit at Saga on a 9-Month Fixed Term Contract. You will be leading as a Business Analyst on a project and determining management of requirements. You will also be presenting structured, documented requirements that provides a framework to both the business and technical teams to produce systems in order to meet business needs accurately.
Reporting into the Head of Enterprise Change, you will be responsible for challenging project teams and proactively addressing issues and escalating, when necessary, with proposed recommendations and/or mitigation. You will also be responsible for managing other business analysts within the team offering mentorship and support.

Role Responsibility
As a Lead Business Analyst your responsibilities will be:
- Eliciting, interpreting, and translating business requirements from change owners and subject matters and turning that into requirement documentation for use in change delivery through sprint cycles and other change methodologies for large, complex strategic projects spanning the Saga Enterprise.
- Engineering requirements to ensure they are relevant, accurate, validated, and signed off within the business before being passed through to technical analysis, development, and test.
- Providing guidance on when a Business Analyst needs to be assigned to a change and provide estimates for the requirements elicitation phase.
- Providing leadership to Business Analysts including requirements strategy and best practice.
- Coordinating the efforts of multiple business analysts on a project (without managerial authority).
- Facilitating effective workshops and meetings by using smart questioning to draw out requirements, options, and outcomes.
- Being business solution focused, evaluating multiple options before helping the business to settle on a solution and recommending ways to tackle a task where relevant.
- Identifying system and operational process gaps, pro-actively raising these to the relevant department and support in the creation of their change requests and looking for opportunities as part of continuous improvement. Be an advocate for process improvement, learning and business analysis within the Enterprise.
- Ensuring swift progress across multiple concurrent projects though organisation and time management skills, whilst being able to adapt quickly to changing priorities and workloads.
- Managing stakeholder expectations effectively around scope, delivery, and timescales.
- Ensuring actions, risks, issues, and decisions are raised for the appropriate documentation to be updated in accordance with the best practice requirements of Change Management.
- Reporting and tracking progress across my assigned projects, identifying and escalating any blockers hindering progress where necessary.
The Ideal Candidate
- Extensive experience as a Senior or Lead Business Analyst.
- Relevant toolkit or Business Analyst qualifications.
- Strong working knowledge of Waterfall and Agile.
- Experience with Microsoft applications –Visio and Draw.io is highly desirable.
- Proven experience of process modelling along with documenting.
- Experience with Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.
- Excellent communication skills especially with senior stakeholders.
- Previous experience of mentoring, guiding, and supporting team members.
- Curious and resilient.
- Excellent track record of working with precision with the attention to detail.
- Ability to work autonomously as well as part of the team.
