We are looking for a MI Analyst to join our AICL business. This is an important role within AICL to help and support both the AICL & CHMC functions of the business.

You will be responsible for the generation of performance and analysis reports, development of our analytics dashboards and providing the business with insight on performance trends, as well as producing high quality MI and Reporting, which will support all aspects of the teams actuarial work.

Role Responsibility

  • Understand data structure and champion continuous improvement in data quality and availability
  • Produce high quality MI and Reporting as required by the business
  • Monitor the sales and underwriting performance of insurance products
  • Support all aspects of the Team’s actuarial work including:
    • Pricing
    • Reserving
    • Solvency II Reporting
  • Attend meetings with underwriters and internal customers, including Claims Team, IT and Finance
  • Assist in testing and sign off of product and rate changes
  • Management Information and Reporting
  • Pricing Recommendations
  • Reserving Projections
  • Product Testing and Sign Off

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Competence in working in an Actuarial / MI department
  • Ability to understand and work with large and complex datasets
  • Familiarity with general insurance pricing processes and methodologies
  • Excellent Excel skill
  • Knowledge of SQL Server, Resq and Emblem or similar systems would be advantageous
  • Understanding of insurance products and underwriting performance
  • Ability to analyse data and produce MI, analysis and reports
  • Make evidence-based recommendations
  • Motivated to deliver quality results to required deadlines
  • Understand pricing and reserving techniques

Education and Qualifications:

  • High quality graduate calibre
  • High quality numeric degree or similar
