Salary up to £40,000

12 month FTC   

FT – 35 hours per week

Hybrid – Ashford – Kent, 2 to 3 days a week

Are you a B2C marketing expert looking for an opportunity to be involved in the planning functions of big budget ATL campaigns? You will already be a super organised individual that totally understands multi-channel marketing strategies. You may have worked for a marketing agency and feel keen to join an in-house team for a different vibe or have worked as a Marketing Assistant and feel ready for some extra high level responsibility. Whatever your marketing journey so far, we do need you to be passionate about Cruise and Travel.

The Marketing Planner for Saga Cruise will represent the marketing department with our external marketing agencies as well as supporting in the planning and orchestration of creating content on board our ships. So, if you are looking for a big brand to represent, a varied workload and some expert marketing colleagues to learn from, this would be a great fit for you!

*You will be required to visit the Ashford Hub two to three times a week, the rest of the week you can work from home. You must be within a reasonable commuting distance to attend our central Ashford hub.  

Role Responsibility

As our Cruise Marketing Planner, you will play a pivotal role in driving the success of our marketing communications across all channels. (ATL and BTL) You will be working closely with the Cruise Marketing Manager and our Head of Cruise Marketing. Your key areas of responsibility will be to;

  • Orchestrate the planning and delivery of cross-channel marketing campaigns in line with the season cruise calendar.
  • Facilitate the Campaign Delivery Process across all relevant Marketing teams and stakeholders.
  • Execute ATL media plans, including briefing the media agency, managing plans and deadlines, plus suppling assets.
  • Leading the coordination of relevant stakeholders across Marketing, CRM and Digital teams, including running marketing planning and delivery meetings to provide ongoing clarity on roles, actions, timelines and dependencies.
  • Full planning of activity across email, DM, website and paid media channels.
  • Proactively collaborating with CRM and Digital teams to design and create seamless customer journeys and content throughout campaigns to ensure customers have the best experience.
  • Constantly monitor all campaigns for brand consistency and alignment.
  • Work closely with the insight team to test new concepts, ensuring we keep all comms fresh and relevant.
  • Work with Media agency to report on competitor activity to ensure our product is portrayed in the best possible way across all channels.
  • Explore new partnership opportunities and manage the relationship, sharing content across all channels and managing the promotional plan (BBC Studios)
  • Working with PR, own all consumer and marketing award activity including encouraging voting across all channels and create content/campaigns to promote previous accolades.
  • Supporting Marketing Manager, Head of Marketing, Marketing Director with preparation of marketing documents and supporting in other general marketing activities and requests.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have already worked in a marketing support or planning role and have gained working knowledge of a busy fast paced marketing team. You may have worked in-house or agency side. We also need our Marketing Planner to demonstrate the following skills;

  • Able to project manage and be a strong communicator.
  • Can bring teams together to meet goals, and report on performance confidently to key stakeholders.
  • You will be a self-starter who is able to create solutions and not wait for a brief.
  • Can demonstrate experience in omni-channel planning and delivering to tight deadlines.
  • Keen to represent the business in a professional manner and have the desire to progress a marketing career.

Desirable:

  • Has knowledge of the Cruise industry’s latest trends with proven experience in applying insights to improve business performance or experience in a large consumer-facing organisation, ideally in the travel sector or b2c.
  • Holds a marketing qualification.
