And right now, we are looking for a Motor Panel Executive to support the strategic development and overall management of the Motor Insurance Panel providing  a high level of commercial and customer benefit. You will manage supplier relations, resolve customer complaints, build effective commercial relationships and implement any required developments or enhancements. 

Additionally you will manage our compliance and risk processes to ensure our customers are always treated fairly and work collaboratively with other teams to ensure that Saga’s strategic initiatives and values are supported.

Role Responsibility

  • Support the Motor Panel Manager and Commercial team to manage Net pricing and footprint expansion, highlighting areas to be improved and delivering process and document changes. 

  • Build commercial relationships with panel insurers, aligning to the Commercial strategy, and regulatory principles. 

  • Coordinate, produce and analyse MI to manage the performance of the Panel and highlight new opportunities and emerging trends. 

  • Work alongside the Product Development and Actuarial team to manage and develop market-leading insurance products ensuring adherence to key regulatory principles. 

  • Assist in the production and issuing of Panel meeting packs including; required MI, agendas and meeting notes and distributed within SLA’s. 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Good working knowledge of Motor Insurance. 

  • Previous experience in a Commercial, Underwriting or Insurance related role. 

  • Experience of negotiation, sales influencing and Insurance Pricing activity. 

  • Customer Focused with good business acumen and communication skills. 

  • Knowledge and ability to work in regulated financial services. 

  • Analytical experience in understanding and highlighting trends and new opportunities. Previous experience with Excel and SQL preferred. 

  • Ability to work within a team and independently. 

  • Ability to prioritise workload effectively and meet challenging deadlines.
