And right now, we are looking for a Nursery Practitioner to work in our Apples Nursery onsite. Apples Nursery has an Ofsted rating of “Outstanding” and is nestled in the grounds of the Saga Pavillion at Enbrook Park, Folkestone. To ensure children have safe and nurturing spaces to play and learn. To work as part of our dedicated nursery team who are ambitious and continually improving outcomes for children and developing in their individual professional expertise.

Role Responsibility

  • In line with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage plan and provide a safe, happy and stimulating environment with children’s wellbeing at the heart of our setting.
  • To effectively deliver the EYFS ensuring that the individual needs and interests of children in the setting are met. To have secure knowledge of child development ensuring children fulfil their potential and high quality educational programmes are delivered.
  • To develop and maintain strong relationships with children and families through a supportive and positive key person approach.
  • To keep up to date records of children’s development to be shared regularly with parents/carers.
  • To support the nursery team to ensure high quality care is effectively provided for all children and families.
  • To understand the importance of outdoor play and nature providing this daily within the nursery curriculum.
  • To ensure we provide all children with equal opportunities in all aspects of our education and care. To always act in a non-judgmental way providing an inclusive environment for all.
  • To read, understand and adhere to all policies and procedures relevant to your role and the safe running of the setting.
  • To have up to date knowledge of safeguarding including identifying signs of possible abuse or neglect.
  • To ensure good standards of safety, hygiene and cleanliness are maintained at all times.

The Ideal Candidate

You will need to be:

Enthusiastic, hardworking, dedicated, Reliable and an outdoorsy type for fun activities with the children in the beautiful gardens of our creche

Qualifications required:     

Level 3 childcare qualification 

Pediatric first aid 

DBS check will be completed
