We have an exciting opportunity for a Partnership Account Manager to join the membership function of the business. This role can be based in our Folkestone office in Kent or a Central London office very near to Kings Cross station.

You will be responsible for managing the day to day relationship with our partners and the exclusive portfolio of offers created for Saga Members, The pro-active management of existing and new accounts, identification of new opportunities and regular updates to key stakeholders on performance is essential for success in this role. This role is focused on achieving the best possible partner offers for our Members and managing the relationships created with third parties to an outstanding level to ensure long term and strategic relationships are developed and maintained for the benefit of the Membership program.

You will bring the ability to create and maintain exceptional working relationships with internal and external colleagues. An ability to communicate and influence effectively at senior level is essential to ensure the best possible outcomes are achieved for the Membership scheme at every opportunity. Account management experience is essential.

Role Responsibility

  • To assist the Head of Partnerships with day to day partner management across the portfolio of accounts in addition to taking sole ownership and responsibility for a number of accounts
  • To monitor performance, collect and analyse MI and generate reports on partner performance for internal and external consumption, including; offer redemption, revenue generation and general MI
  • Ability to present findings, update key stakeholders on offer performance and make recommendations
  • To assist the Head of Partnerships in new partner negotiations
  • To complete set up process for all new partners; from contract signing to ‘go live’ including but not limited to; due diligence process, obtaining copy and other marketing assets, agreeing redemption process, marketing and online promotion, MI collection
  • To manage and raise invoices as applicable
  • To create a regular and structured partnership management process, which will include but is not limited to regular calls and face to face updates with partners to review performance, agree actions to drive performance and address day to day requirements, as well as influence conversations to achieve outputs to benefit Saga’s business. To make decisions with confidence relating to product or supplier relationships, often in short or high pressure situations
  • To maintain an awareness of the competitor landscape and comparable loyalty schemes and market offers to make relevant recommendations for the development of Possibilities
  • To work closely with the Possibilities Marketing team to identify opportunities to promote partner offers and to support with monthly themes. To also review performance of marketing activity and make relevant recommendations
  • To work closely with the Head of Partnerships to proactively identify and secure new opportunities with existing partners to enhance the proposition in line with marketing opportunities
  • To work with the Membership Operations Team in dealing with any customer queries relating to partner redemptions or complaints and to assist in reaching a resolution of these. To own issue reporting and decide when this should be escalated
  • To work closely with the wider Possibilities and other internal teams to provide all information required for on-going offer management
  • To be responsible for the sales performance of each account and to identify opportunities for growth within the portfolio
  • For Travel Partnership accounts lead the online and offline marketing direction with full responsibility for marketing plans, forecasting, campaign schedules and budget
  • Determine and deliver the marketing strategy for Partnerships encompassing creative, data profiling, FTB and retention strategic elements and ensure these are delivered to deadlines
  • Working closely with the Digital Manager to manage performance and strategy for online only campaigns
  • To have an understanding of the Membership and Travel Partnerships P&L and financial targets and be able to discuss strategies to achieve this

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Highly numerate and ability to monitor trends and patterns in business performance.
  • Ability to present analysis and findings in business appropriate media, to Membership team.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to create and deliver presentations to external partners.
  • Commercially astute
  • Comprehensive knowledge of: Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • Previous account management experience essential

 

Personal Characteristics:

  • Strong interpersonal skills – this role will involve working closely with all departments and external suppliers.
  • Strong presentation skills – this role will involve presenting performance with third party partners at a senior management level.
  • Ability to make decisions with confidence or identify when an issue should be escalated.
  • Ability to set and follow through clear targets and objectives
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
