People MI & Reward Analyst

This role is an important part of the Human Resources team who strive to facilitate, to help and support the whole of the Saga business.

You will be acting as a point of contact for data analytics, metrics and reporting associated with the HR department. You will also be working with stakeholders from across the business in relation to reward and benefits including job evaluations and reporting.

Role Responsibility

  • To assist in the logical design of HR systems and workflows to maximise data extraction and MI reporting
  • Production, analysis and dissemination of monthly MI for the business highlighting areas of concerns, adverse trends or issues that may impact the HR function or the business
  • To accurately complete as and when required all governmental stats that are sent directly to the HR department
  • To complete all job evaluations requested by the business in an accurate and timely manner including internal and external benchmark data where appropriate for new and revision to existing positions
  • To respond to ad-hoc data requests in a timely manner and to report any data inconsistencies through the appropriate escalation channels
  • Create an easy to use and up to date collection of job descriptions for the whole business in collaboration with the relevant hiring managers
  • Support the team with annual projects including pay review, company bonus, management bonus and reward statements

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidates will be educated to degree standard or equivalent and display the following characteristics:

  • Great attention to detail and the ability to work on their own initiative
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good interpersonal skills and the ability to interact at all levels
  • A real 'can do' attitude with a focus on the identification of solutions
  • Strong time management skills
  • Customer-centric and flexible in approach 
  • Professional. ethical and confidential
  • Resilient to challenge and to able to adapt to different working environments

The capability, knowledge and experience required for this role include:

  • Knowledge of job evaluation and pay grading systems would be desirable 
  • Excellent PC skills including Excel
  • Demonstrable knowledge and use of statistical analysis 
  • Knowledge of SQL and HR systems is desirable 
  • Demonstrable ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Demonstrable discretion and the ability to handle sensitive and confidential material in an appropriate manager
