…And right now, we are looking for a People Systems Administrator to join us. As a People System Administrator, you'll contribute towards equipping the People team with the tools to deliver an outstanding service to our colleagues by assisting the People Systems Lead to develop and deliver our suite of technology. You'll also support the People team on some exciting projects that are coming up in the future.

You will have strong Excel skills and knowledge of the employee lifecycle and the processes that surround it. You will bring strong attention to detail, being able to look at large amounts of data and spotting any inaccuracies and a continuous improvement mind set, being able to look at problem and coming up with ideas for a solution. Lastly, you'll bring system experience, being able to maintain, use, train and advise colleagues on our people system.

Please note, this role is a 12-month fixed term contract.

Role Responsibility

  • Following our Business Code of Conduct and always acting with integrity and due diligence
  • Assisting the People Systems Lead in the logical design of People systems and workflows to maximise data extraction and MI reporting in a consistent and accurate manner across the group, aiming to minimise effort and duplications of data capture
  • Using my knowledge and expertise to make sure People systems run efficiently and that accuracy in data is maintained
  • Providing support in the annual review security permissions for the People systems to ensure that they are appropriate and will be as required for audit
  • Working with external providers to troubleshoot functionality issues where appropriate
  • Assisting in the delivery of new technology to enhance our service to our colleagues
  • Championing our tools and work at all times
  • Working collaboratively with other teams to make sure my work supports Saga’s strategic initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

Knowledge, background and experience:

  • Knowledge of people/employee lifecycle processes and requirements with experience of actively seeking to improve processes and way in which system interacts with team
  • Knowledge of current systems/technology and a desire for continuous improvement
  • System design and digital skills
  • Strong Excel skills
  • An ability to problem solve, constantly looking to find solutions
  • Strong attention to detail
  • An ability to look at large volumes of data and spot errors

Education and qualifications:

  • HR qualification would be an advantage although relevant experience is more important
