Performance and Optimisation Specialist

This is a new role within the web team where you will be a key member, gathering regular insights to support trading, as well as identifying areas of improvement, contributing to the future roadmap of Saga Travel Group’s websites. It may be a particular area of the booking funnel, or a set of pages where our content is not getting engagement, you will work alongside various teams around the business from Marketing to Development, with a real focus on experimentation. You will own the optimisation tool, using your data analysis skills to run tests in the live environment and reporting back on what has been learnt, as well as exploring all the functionality of this tool, bringing this to the wider team with suggested use cases that will help deliver our overall goals.

Role Responsibility

  • Produce regular performance reports to feed into the overall trading results of STG.
  • Manage the optimisation roadmap that will be shared with the business and feed into our future digital product.
  • Support the implementation of new web measures, ensuring KPI’s are accessible, and actions can be taken.
  • Working alongside colleagues from around the business to conduct reviews on various areas of the STG websites.
  • Explore new opportunities to integrate our sites with internal and external solutions to improve customer experience.
  • Ownership of the optimisation program, using data insights to create tests that have meaningful hypothesis and learnings every time.
  • Use optimisation to drive personalisation by focusing on our key segments and their trends.
  • Support the development team with data insights, pre and post release.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proficient in Google Analytics or similar.
  • A strong understanding of optimisation tools, having deployed and analysed a range of A/B, MVT and Personalisation activities.
  • Experience of identifying customer pain points and translating into tangible insights.
  • Proven experience of briefing requirements into development teams.
  • Able to use customer segmentation to produce experiences that are relevant based on specific traits.
  • Able to work alongside internal and external teams.
