The role

As a Personal Travel Consultant, you will use your expertise and travel knowledge to tailor-make the perfect holidays for our customers. A key part of this role is to grow and nurture your portfolio of customers to ensure repeat business whilst maintaining the very best customer service.

Your role is to provide an exemplary level of customer service to our customers from the initial enquiry, all the way through to returning home after holiday, ensuring the customer journey exceeds expectations and the customer is motivated to book future holidays with Destinology.

Role Responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Using your passion for and knowledge of travel and your skills you will deliver exceptional customer service on all aspects of the customer booking journey
  • You will deliver excellent results in terms of meeting your targets for conversion and margin
  • You will take the time to discuss and understand what the customer wants/needs in order to provide relevant product offering that meets or exceeds customer expectations
  • Respond efficiently and follow up on in a timely manner on customer enquiries and requests
  • Provide relevant and accurate information and advice to the customer
  • Ensure the customer enquiry and booking information for your customers is fully and accurately completed and input into the booking system so that there are no errors
  • Share your own product knowledge to enhance the clients experience on booking and whilst on holiday
  • To action all administrative tasks on completing your customers booking using our booking systems including CRS airline systems accurately and in a timely manner
  • Strive to develop and improve your own product knowledge by attending product training sessions and attending educational trips
  • Build and expand a direct repeat customer portfolio/ database through delivering exemplary customer service which leads to repeat custom and customer recommendation
  • Liaise with Product team colleagues in relation to the Products we offer to our customers
  • Liaise with Customer Experience team colleagues in relation to amendments to bookings, in resort issues, complaints
  • Work as a member of the team, working collaboratively with colleagues

 

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

Essential:

  • a passion for travel and have extensively travelled, or have been successful in a sales role (preferably travel)
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with customers (both internal and external).
  • Committed to providing excellent customer service
  • Problem solving
  • Experience of working in a fast paced ever changing environment
  • excellent communication skills
  • customer centric approach/experience

Desirable:

  • strong selling skills and a driven sales record
  • ethical sales principles and processes
  • luxury travel industry sales experience
  • CRS experience

Package Description

Salary

£16,000- £20,000 depending on experience plus sales incentive (Commission) scheme
