Pricing Operations Administrator

And right now, we are looking for a Pricing Operations Administrator to carry out in-depth testing of system changes and defects to a high standard to ensure the accuracy of the prices returned. You will also represent the interests of the pricing department on business wide change programmes and support the accurate and timely deployment of changes for Saga Services Ltd.

You will have experience as an end user tester with good knowledge of Insurance and the capability to quickly learn complex systems and pricing techniques. Additionally you will assist the Lead Analyst in carrying out periodic checks on the risk controls carried out in the department and produce management information packs.

Role Responsibility

  • In depth quality assurance testing of IT system changes and fault fix releases to ensure prices quoted are correct.
  • Assisting with the process of fault diagnosis and resolution tracking.
  • Assisting in tracking the progress of assigned projects from pre-development meetings through to post release testing.
  • Representing the needs of the pricing department at defect triage meetings to recommend defects for prioritisation.
  • Assisting the Lead Analyst in carrying out periodic checks on the risk controls carried out in the department.
  • Assisting with the production of various Management Information packs for the department.
  • Carrying out daily checks on data import processes to ensure the pricing teams have the latest data readily available to them. Implementing any immediate fixes and/or escalating issues as required.
  • Supporting senior members of the team in any ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Ensuring process documentation is up to date and accurate.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Experience in user acceptance testing of system changes
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Experience in troubleshooting and investigating potential issues
  • GCSE or equivalent or higher qualification in a mathematical or IT subject.
  • Excel intermediate or higher level user.
  • Ability to communicate technical issues clearly and concisely.
  • Numerate and logical thinker.
