…And right now, we are looking for a Product Communications UAT Lead to join us. In this new role, you will articulate and document the Product Communications testing requirements as well as shaping, sizing, and leading out on our own key Product Communications testing solutions. You will support and align our Product Comms testing roadmap/s to wider project and programme roadmaps such a regulatory and change roadmaps. Ensuring that our testing approach is robust, our suggested use (and test) cases are relevant, and all our testing keeps the customer, and their experience, front of mind. This role, and associated testing approach, is yours to shape.

You will have solid experience of UAT/user testing/user casing with an ability to work across a matrix company. You will bring a consumer champion ethos and understand the principals of marketing as well as an understanding of IT and change processes.

Role Responsibility

  • Lead assigned Product Communications UAT inc. user cases, associated journey testing across Services and Personal Finance, considering all implications of Product Communications, Regulatory requirements, FCA clean-up processes plus renewal and MTA adjustment requirements may have within testing environments 
  • Actively contribute to UAT (User Acceptance Tester) and Project working groups covering Marketing, Change, IT (Information Technology) (Information Technology) and Risk as well as consultancy with propositional and new product development -where UAT Lead input is needed 
  • Support the delivery of Product Communication ideas and solutions, with considered testing environments that make the most effective use the Products Team and supporting infrastructure balancing speed-of-response with solution integrity 
  • Lead all UAT Product Communication activities that involve Product, Marketing, Conduct Risk, FCA and IT/Change departments; ensuring that the customer experience, insight, creative and communication ideas are tested and executed seamlessly through Product Comms solutions 
  • Partner closely with wider Marketing and Product Leads on key projects and initiatives; making considerable progress within our Product Comms roadmaps 
  • Partner with our UAT-based Digital, Group Digital, and CRM teams to develop key UAT testing suites for each Product Communications-led campaign, communication and/or initiative 
  • Determine the UAT ‘task asks’ for each project-based activity e.g. fault clean-up, FCA project, regulatory change etc. and, support the Product Comms Manager with the drafting of activity briefs that help co-ordinate, guide messaging, and execution; tailored to the specific objective, challenge and/or requested solution (working in conjunction with key stakeholders such as Project, Change or Product Leads) 
  • Support the stabilisation of Product Comms activities providing UAT rigour and high-quality testing activity 
  • Responsible for demonstrating an understanding of regulatory risk across Marketing and customer touchpoints including working knowledge of the latest FCA (Financial Conduct Authority) guidance 
  • Display an understanding of digital, social, MarTech and emerging platforms and technologies 

The Ideal Candidate

  • Demonstrable experience of UAT and/or testing in marketing, product, change-based communications and/or Regulatory consultancy (customer-comms focussed) 
  • Experience with integrated campaign delivery across multiple internal touchpoints and channels; with proven ability on its impact to reduce risk and/or meet regulatory requirements through testing 
  • Strong levels of multi-tasking, prioritisation, and solution-orientated approaches 
  • Ability to assess, size and mobilise testing activities efficiently 
  • Considerable experience working within matrix teams within regulatory and financial services environment/s 
  • Understanding of best use of UAT, QA and Change testing required for right-first-time solutions 
  • Experience in using and evolving UAT processes to reduce change requests and minimise costs/maximise delivery solutions (specific to customer communications) 
  • Experience in preparing UAT approaches for change releases, new projects, and support in developing test cases within a matrix-managed team 
  • Excellent personal communication and presentation skills and able to come across as a professional, credible, respected representative of Saga 
  • An ability to work collaboratively across functions 
  • Ability to use insights to drive greater connection with consumers and design robust test environments rooted in real-life-experiences 
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills as well as proven ability to develop well-written documents and eloquently present 
  • Well organised and meticulous 
  • Ability to work under pressure and deadlines 
  • Naturally curious and creative individual; able to think around problems 
  • A rigorous and logical thinker
