An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Product and Commercial Executive to join our Health and Travel Team.
This role will initially focus on supporting the migration of the Health and Travel products from our TIA platform to the SID system.
You will act as a main point of contact for the SID migration project, working collaboratively with the designated business leads to ensure end to end requirements are fully covered to support the successful system migration.
You will bring good insurance product knowledge to this role and in addition to the migration project you will be working within the cross functional team to ensure adherence to FCA guidelines as well as delivering product development and enhancements to business plan.

Role Responsibility
- Working with the Product & Commercial Manager and wider Product & Commercial Team to manage and develop market-leading insurance products incorporating key regulatory principles, including Consumer Duty.
- Working within commercial relationships with Suppliers and Conduct Risk to ensure adherence to FCA guidelines
- Effectively communicate project and departmental business objectives, project briefings and any other information in a timely manner.
- You will be responsible for maintaining clear and consistent lines of communication across all stakeholders of the SID migration project, working with the Product Lead, ensuring that the system needs of the department and suppliers are appropriately represented and information is cascaded in a timely manner.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Health and Travel products, procedures and systems across the business and ensure the knowledge is kept up to date.
- Ensuring Product & Commercial input is accurate and reflective of the requirements to support the build to achieve the successful system migration to SID.
- Provide support on the content and accuracy, completion of User Stories required to support the SID project.
- Act as a point of contact for the SID Migration Project and support in the workshops/day to day activity, reporting directly to the Product and Commercial Lead.
- Work collaboratively with the designated business leads to ensure end to end requirements are fully covered to support a successful migration.
- Involvement in all areas of product and commercial management, including Annual Product Value Assessments & product development where required.
- Support the delivery of product development and enhancements to business plan
- Project management, with particular focus on cross-functional team working and Supplier relations - attendance at Supplier meetings where required.
- Technical and management input into complaints handling, including intervention where necessary to ensure the fair and effective resolution of customer disputes.
- Delivery of accurate and up to date insurance and product market analysis.
- Management of competitor and industry research and analysis, including the maintaining of price competitiveness consistent with the Saga brand through market comparisons and actuarial liaison
- Ensure all customer communications are technically correct, consistent, aligned with the Saga brand and meet relevant regulatory requirements
- Undertake root cause analysis of products to understand key drivers behind customer complaints and deliver innovative solutions

- Product and commercial development and management
- Management of compliance processes to ensure customers are treated fairly
- Implementation of product and commercial developments and product enhancements, derived from analysis of industry and competitive trends to business plans
- Through product and commercial management and development, help to deliver budgeted conversion, quotation, and retention rates
- Product and commercial compliance at all levels with regulatory principles, brand, and regulatory standards
- Delivery of enhanced levels of customer satisfaction measured through customer satisfaction scores and external market benchmarks
- Up to date and accurate product and commercial documentation and information
- Input into resolution of customer complaints
- Work with marketing team to ensure marketing materials accurately reflect Health and Travel product benefits

Capability, knowledge and experience:
- Knowledge of general insurance markets, products and practices including regulatory regime and Consumer Duty.
- Health and Travel insurance product knowledge.
- Knowledge of product and commercial management principles and procedures.
- Ability to work within a team and independently.
- Ability to prioritise workload effectively.
- Ability to manage and deliver cross-functional projects to tight deadlines.
- Ability to challenge and improve existing processes.
- Commercially aware and able to develop and implement product initiatives to meet customer needs.
- Ability to manage delivery and analyse market research.
