This role is an important part of the Commercial Production team who strive to facilitate, to help and support the Holidays business.

You will be responsible for the efficient set up and costing for holidays for all product types, ensuring system data and structure are always correct, and to contribute to ongoing system improvement.

You will have excellent communication and time management skills in order to be able to liaise with other departments within the business. Being able to build and maintain outstanding relationships rapidly is key to this role, meaning negotiation and persuasion skills are paramount.

Role Responsibility

  • Provide full support to the Production Manager
  • Liaise with Ground and Air Purchasing Managers/Operations Executives for required product information to enable full and accurate set up and costing of the product.  Question and ensure that the information is complete for purpose
  • Liaise with other departments as required to obtain necessary costs and/or information required to complete set up and costings of products
  • Answer queries and improve communication from internal suppliers. Manage queries from the contact centre within service standard taking a tenacious approach to fixing and resolving root cause
  • Build excellent relationships with Product and Purchasing, Commercial and Studio to ensure that they provide/receive an excellent service
  • Ensure that all products are accurately set up at all times and maintained on the system and in accordance with any production schedule/ SLAs in force at the time
  • Ensure all customer documentation produced from the system is correctly displayed
  • Investigate and resolve any set up issues and errors
  • Notify the relevant departments of all new products
  • Take part in project work to ensure ongoing system and process improvements within your team
  • Ensure the accurate costing of all holidays
  • Liaise with Product and Purchasing and Commercial teams to ensure that holidays and costings are accurately loaded in a timely and accurate manner
  • Ensure new itineraries are built for new promotions and changes
  • Produce and update costings for new products, product amendments and tactical offers
  • Provide cost analysis and develop understanding of impact on margin

The Ideal Candidate

Capability, Knowledge and Experience:

  • Good knowledge of TAURUS would be an advantage
  • Working knowledge of Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of the travel industry would be an advantage
  • Able to build rapid relationships

Education and Qualifications:

  • Good standard of secondary education/ A level (or equivalent)
