Following the implementation of a brand-new system for part of our insurance business, we are looking for a Project Manager to help drive forward an exciting transformation programme.

In this role, you'll provide project management and operational support to our motor claims business. You'll co-ordinate the implementation of either new or changed products/systems and help to drive and manage change.

Role Responsibility

  • To co-ordinate the implementation of small change across CHMC
  • To provide project management support and co-ordination
  • To liaise with all business areas to influence decision making, to ensure that the business’ best interests are considered and catered for
  • To track the progress of projects through the development and testing process
  • Work with the Senior Management Team to implement, reporting on progress and escalating blockers and identifying dependencies
  • Ensure project risks are identified and monitored in the project risk log in line with business risk management processes
  • To complete Post Implementation Reviews of smaller projects as required and feed recommendations for process improvements back into Senior management
  • To take a pro-active role in assisting with improvements and changes that would benefit the team and the business
  • Champion and challenge projects and project team members to ensure customers interests and brand values are central
  • Ensure that projects comply with corporate governance
  • To communicate the progress and status of projects to other members of the project team
  • To prepare detailed and comprehensive project documentation including minutes, action logs and risk registers on smaller projects
  • To seek opportunities to contribute original ideas to the benefit of the team
  • To engender a culture of continuous personal improvement consistent with the cultural context of the organisation
  • Provide project support to colleagues

Capability, Knowledge and Background:

  • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and listening, across all business levels
  • Excellent time management to enable successful delivery within present deadlines and to the required standard
  • Ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously
  • An excellent negotiator, influencer and networker
  • Able to use Microsoft office applications including Microsoft Project
  • Ability to work as part of a team and on own initiative with an aptitude and ability to lead a team
  • Quick and flexible learner with an aptitude for new processes, technologies and procedures
  • Strong problem solver
  • Analytical approach to tasks, research and projects
  • Enthusiastic about change but sensitive to the effect of change on people and the business

Education and Qualifications:

  • Degree level or equivalent or relevant business knowledge
