Public Rooms Manager

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Public Rooms Manager. In this role, you will be responsible for all public rooms and bar functions onboard, ensuring guests receive a contemporary beverage experience onboard our purpose-built boutique luxury cruise ships which hold a maximum on 999 passengers at a time.

Role Responsibility
- Responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all ships’ bars, lounges, service bars, beverage stations and bar storage areas
- Ensures all Beverage machines and equipment are maintained and repaired
- Conducts regular inspections of all Bar and Beverage areas ensuring that any shortfalls in cleanliness or standards are corrected
- Monitor Work and Rest hours of all Bar and Beverage staff ensuring MLC guidelines are adhered to
- Ensure that all bar products, equipment, and cleaning materials are used in a cost-effective manner
- Ensure all Bar and Beverage staff operate above USPH standards
- Ensures the highest possible standards of guest service are supplied and listens and responds to Guest and Crew concerns and questions
- Ensures that all new staff within Bars and Beverage areas receive proper training until they are fully aware of the company policies and procedures
- Reports to the Food & Beverage Director any guest complaints and feedback and where possible resolves
- Ensures that all Bars, Bar areas and Beverage stations adhere to advertised opening and closing times
- Responsible for the appearance and manner of the Bar and Beverage crew
- Monitors and reports on Bar and Beverage consumption and costs ensuring that outlets within their department operate within established budgetary guidelines
The Ideal Candidate
- Previous experience as Beverage/Bars Manager/Public Rooms Manager onboard a Cruise ship or 4/5-star hotel/resort
- Excellent organisational skills and able to juggle several operations in one go
- Demonstrated experience in motivating, leading, and engaging a diverse workforce to increase cooperation and improve productivity
- Passionate about people and able to manage guest complaints with a smile!
- A good command of the English Language both written and speaking
