We are looking for an experienced manual Quality Assurance Engineer who has experience in front-end testing.  An experienced quality assurance engineer who can contribute to a technology and change business area delivering testing and assurance capabilities. Someone who has a pro-active and curious mind and can ask questions like,  ‘Does this work for the end-user?'.

*Please note this is a fixed-term contract for 12 months covering maternity.*

Role Responsibility

  • Taking ownership of testing within the SDLC with the accountability for the testing and quality assurance applications across the travel ecosystem
  • Be capable and available to cover releases which may include unsociable hours (average x2 per month). This does come with a generous on-call bonus
  • Facilitating the resource of two testers based in India
  • Manage and triage application bugs and support issues for internal and third-party systems
  • Fix and feedback to business owners with relevant amendments
  • Implementation and improvement of quality assurance standards across a diverse range of enterprise platforms and services including those with regulatory requirements
  • Working collaboratively with Project Management and Technology professionals to ensure business requirements and deadlines are met
  • Suggest and implement innovative solutions to reduce manual testing requirements and driving efficiencies in the testing and software development lifecycle
  • Actively support QA requirements through root cause and incident management processes across the Travel Group
  • Supporting the delivery of technology programmes, projects and workstreams to agreed time, cost, and quality criteria
  • Management of bugs and their prioritisation
  • Management of relevant resolver groups from Service Now for supported applications
  • Preparation for prioritisation of new developments/ change requests

The Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer (can accept more junior levels of experience)
  • Experience with User Acceptance Testing and front-end testing
  • Highly proactive with the ability to analyse effectively and provide solutions
  • Track record of successful test management frameworks and practices
  • Strong communicator who actively identifies and manages all stakeholders and collaborates appropriately with them dependent on their needs

Package Description

  • Fully remote role
  • £30,0000 per annum
  • On-call release bonuses (averages x2 per month)
  • 12 month fixed term role (covering maternity)
  • 35 hours per week (9am-5pm, Monday through Friday)
