Recruitment Executive (Fixed Term Contract)

We are looking for a Recruitment Executive to come and work in our Saga Healthcare part of the business on a Fixed Term Contract until June 2020.

You will be responsible for Carer recruitment ensuring recruitment targets are met and recruiting in line with Saga’s business strategy and growth plan. Working with the Recruitment Manager and marketing team to ensure you are receiving high quality enquiries. You must be an active forward-thinking individual with a proactive nature to go out to the market and headhunt candidates. You will ensure each applicant is recruited in line with set processes including pre-screening, referencing, face to face interviews and DBS.

Role Responsibility


  • Responding to enquires within the defined set service level agreement
  • Actively headhunting candidates on job boards to increase number of enquiries as well as promoting company awareness
  • Keeps candidates engaged and responds quickly to be ahead of any competitors
  • Pre-screens, interviews and process candidates in a professional manner but with pace
  • Working with the Operations team and attend Buzz Meetings to keep the business informed of the recruitment pipeline
  • Reflects on process and identifies where things need to change to ensure smooth recruitment process that just keeps getting better / responds to market changes

Business Development:

  • To investigate potential websites for Carer advertising and propose suggestions to the Recruitment Manager
  • Work alongside the Social Media teams to support the online advertising presence of the brands providing regular feedback
  • To work closely with the Sales and Marketing team and mirror client advertising by area
  • Set up recruitment campaigns / group interviews by region to maximise growth in relevant areas
  • Follow up and liaise with all applicants offering support and assistance throughout the recruitment process
  • To investigate / target areas where growth is required and provide the Recruitment Manager advertising suggestions
  • To investigate opportunities within publications aimed at our Carer market and propose suggestions to the Recruitment Manager
  • To attend promotional exhibitions / trade shows aimed at the Carer market across all areas for recruiting
  • To attend business development presentations / networking events

Internal/External Contact:

  • To network as necessary to promote Saga Healthcare’s Services
  • To carry out the interview process and be able to identify skills to match appropriately
  • Liaise with external suppliers
  • To be available to answer recruitment calls and follow up work as necessary
  • Act as an overflow to other departments to ensure effective call answering and assist where necessary

Resource Administration:

  • Preparation of Data and Reports as required
  • Maintain Spreadsheets and use relevant reporting systems as required


  • Adopt a flexible, enthusiastic and driven approach to achieving the financial goals of the business
  • Contribute to maintaining a high level of housekeeping and attention to health and safety issue to create a healthy and safe working environment
  • Willingly carry out any other duties deemed appropriate by the Company in line with the company Employee Handbook

Education and Qualifications:

  • Recruitment experience essential
  • Resourcing experience desirable

  • Be able to cope with pressure
  • Be flexible and adaptable with a willingness to travel to interviews where required
